Huawei Cloud commercially launched its CodeArts Agent coding solution for the Malaysian market during the Huawei Cloud AI Boost Day Malaysia, held on September 7, 2026, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The gathering took place on the first day of the inaugural WAIC CONNECT Malaysia 2026 (World Artificial Intelligence Conference), which ran from Sept 7-8 under the theme “Innovating for a Green and Intelligent Malaysia”.
During the session, Huawei Cloud outlined its five-layer structure for Agentic Cloud, focusing on software-hardware synergy spanning AI Data Center (AIDC), Agentic Infra (Infrastructure), MaaS (Model as a Service) and agent development platforms.
CodeArts Agent is Huawei’s artificial intelligence (AI) coding solution that enables developers to tackle complex software engineering tasks more efficiently while helping enterprises accelerate AI-powered software development.
Nicolas Yuan Yu, executive vice-president of Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and head of Huawei Cloud in Malaysia, in his opening address, said Malaysia has emerged as Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing data centre and AI hub.
He emphasized that the Klang Valley and Johor alone now account for over 1.5 gigawatts of new AI-ready capacity, positioning Malaysia ahead of conventional regional hubs and setting up the physical foundation for large-scale enterprise AI across the ASEAN region
“Huawei has invested in Malaysia for more than 25 years. With our latest Cloud and AI strategy and capabilities, we are committed to contributing to Malaysia’s national ambition and to this AI era,” he said.
Huawei Cloud was named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud AI Infrastructure report published in July 2026, recognizing its growing influence and technological strength in the global cloud AI infrastructure market.
CodeArts Agent offers intelligent coding capabilities, including code generation, software development Q&A and automated unit test generation; deep context retrieval for millions of lines of code, and a team of 16 specialized agents utilizing over 30 Huawei engineering skills across the entire software development lifecycle.
During the launch, Huawei Cloud also introduced the CodeArts Agent Early Bird Programme. Eligible enterprise users will receive three months of complimentary access to the Professional Edition, alongside local expert coaching.
CodeArts Agent will continue to combine advanced AI technologies and Huawei’s software engineering expertise to accelerate enterprise software development.
