BYD Sime Motors has officially launched the enhanced 2026 BYD Sealion 7 in Malaysia, featuring a new entry-level Dynamic variant alongside upgraded Premium and Performance models.
The lineup is priced at RM163,800 for the Dynamic, RM188,800 for the Premium, and RM203,800 for the Performance variant.

The Dynamic variant delivers 170 kW of power, 380 Nm of torque, a driving range of 520 km (NEDC) and 0–100 km/h acceleration in 7.3 seconds, making it well suited for everyday driving.
It is equipped with a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, rear-wheel drive, 19-inch wheels, and a 10-speaker sound system.

Meanwhile the upgraded Premium and Performance Upgrades feature larger high-capacity batteries (91.3 kWh), faster DC charging speeds and extended driving ranges.

The BYD Sealion 7 is built on the advanced e-Platform 3.0 (and e-Platform 3.0 Evo) architecture featuring Cell-to-Body technology that integrates a structural Blade Battery directly into the chassis.

The standard equipment and features across the lineup include high-capacity LFP battery architecture, 9 airbags, a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a 58-liter front trunk (frunk), a 500-liter rear luggage space (expandable to 1,769 liters) and a full Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety suite.

BYD Malaysia managing director Jacob Ma said the BYD Sealion 7 has built a strong reputation as a leading flagship D-segment electric SUV, praised by Malaysian customers for its performance, technology and design.
“With the introduction of the new Dynamic variant, along with enhancements to the Premium and Performance variants, customers now have greater flexibility to choose an EV that best suits their lifestyle.
“These latest upgrades make the 2026 BYD Sealion 7 an even more complete package, offering greater value while supporting the nation’s electrification journey,” he said at the launch of the enhanced 2026 BYD Sealion 7 at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya on July 30, 2026.

Meanwhile, BYD Sime Motors managing director Adeline Lew said that brand success relies on daily ownership experiences rather than just sales figures.
The company operates a growing nationwide network alongside structured customer assurance initiatives.
“Today, BYD operates 44 sales and marketing outlets, 28 aftersales facilities, and 12 body and paint centres across Malaysia. We have also recently launched the BYD Certified Pre-Owned Programme, featuring the first BYD Certified showroom in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Together, these investments reinforce our commitment to providing customers with greater confidence, convenience and peace of mind throughout their ownership journey,” she said.

The 2026 BYD Sealion 7 comes in five exterior body colors: Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, Shark Grey, Cosmos Black, and the exclusive Ultraviolet shade reserved specifically for the Premium variant, alongside a standard sleek black interior across all models.
