Guinness Malaysia launches “Rate Your Pint” campaign

Guinness Malaysia’s “Rate Your Pint” campaign allows consumers to review their draught experience via a mobile microsite, which aggregates these scores to build Malaysia’s first-ever consumer-curated Perfect Pint Guide.

Guinness Malaysia has launched the “Rate Your Pint” campaign, unveiling the nation’s first Perfect Pint Guide.

This consumer-curated platform turns drinkers into the role of Chief Pint Officer, the brand’s quality ambassador, allowing them to assess and rate their Guinness Draughts experiences on a mobile platform at participating outlets to identify the most consistent, high-quality pours nationwide.

Consumers can get started by visiting the Rate Your Pint microsite on their devices, and evaluate their pour served to you based on three specific criteria: Serve (clean glass, no spills, served on a Guinness coaster), Tilt (the creamy head holds its shape without spilling) and Taste (a balanced and smooth flavour profile).

These scores build the live Perfect Pint Guide, a crowdsourced directory helping consumers find perfectly poured, consistently served pints at participating outlets.

Submit the scores on the mobile platform that goes into the database to create a comprehensive, consumer-ranked guide of the best Guinness spots in the country. As users continue to rate their pints on the platform, they climb the ranks toward becoming a Certified Guinness Chief Pint Officer.

Consumers may unlock complimentary rewards and free pints as part of their participation in the Perfect Pint Guide.

“Last year, we searched the country for three people to champion the perfect pint as our first-ever Chief Pint Officers. The response showed us that the pride consumers feel in the craftsmanship and ritual behind a perfectly poured Guinness runs deeper than anticipated and that it’s something worth sharing,” said Joyce Lim, marketing manager at Guinness Malaysia.

“With Rate Your Pint, we’re opening that up. It’s about empowering them to play a role in upholding its quality. Because a great pint is always better when the people around the table appreciate it too. This guide is built on those shared moments,” added Lim.
