The FC3 Club Hong Kong celebrity football team will play its debut match in Malaysia against Selangor FC Legends in The Bridge of Legends charity friendly at the MBPJ Stadium in Petaling Jaya on October 10, 2026.
The high-profile charity event unites sports, entertainment and philanthropy, with a portion of ticket proceeds supporting Make-A-Wish Malaysia, an NGO that grants wishes for children with serious illnesses.
This marks the first time FC3 Club is playing a game outside of Hong Kong since its formation two years ago.
Organised by Orange Leisure Sdn Bhd and co-organised by Pew Pew Resource, the charity match will feature a star-studded celebrity football team from Hong Kong, comprising actors, singers and entertainment professionals.
The Selangor FC Legends is gearing up with former football greats, including Asmawi Bakiri, Indra Putra, Ismail Ibrahim, Shahril Arsat, Nizaruddin Yusof and K. Sambagamaran to face the visiting Hong Kong celebrity team.
The FC3 squad features a strong roster of Hong Kong actors, singers, and creators with a shared passion for football, including Kaho Hung, Jer Lau (Jer@MIRROR), Tony Wu, Siu Hin Ng, Carlos Chan, Adrian Chau, Edward Ma, Elvin Wong, Yatho Wong, Jonathan Li, Terry Ng, Cheung Man, Sean Man, former Hong Kong national footballer Kumar So and Tong Kin Man – captained by Locker Lam and coached by former Hong Kong national team captain Chan Wai Ho.
Both sides are bringing competitive spirit and excitement to entertain the fans and raise funds for charity.
The official launch of the initiative was held at Le Méridien Petaling Jaya on July 29, 2026, witnessed by Selangor princess Tengku Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah who has served as the Royal Patron of Make-A-Wish Malaysia since 2015.
Present at the event included Selangor FC Legends’ advisor Datuk Lee Chong Haw and chief operating officer Aladdin Mostafa; Make-A-Wish Malaysia’s chief executive officer Irene Tan and board member Datin Karen Liew; Orange Leisure’s managing director Jimmy Goh and general manager Winnie Ng; and Pew Pew Resource chief executive officer Eva Pang.
FC3 captain Locker Lam, an actor, said becoming team captain happened naturally because he took on the responsibility of coordinating training sessions, booking pitches and bringing members together despite their busy filming schedules.
“Getting more than 20 people together isn’t easy because everyone has different work commitments. But seeing everyone enjoy the game and witnessing what we have built together makes all the effort worthwhile,” he said.
Kumar So revealed that Carlos Chan’s passion for football was one of the driving forces behind the club’s formation. “Even after long filming days, Carlos would rush over to join us if there were still 30 minutes left on the pitch before heading back to the hotel,” he said.
Founded by industry peers bonding over football after long filming sessions of the drama “Fearless” in Malaysia in 2024, the Hong Kong celebrity team FC3 Club brings together over 20 actors, singers, and behind-the-scenes entertainment professionals to stay active, bond and promote physical and mental well-being. Key members include captain Locker Lam, Kaho Hung, Jer Lau of MIRROR, Carlos Chan and Tony Wu.
Built on the philosophy of “Standing Strong at Thirty” to promote fitness and bonding, the FC3 Club unites Hong Kong entertainment professionals and celebrities with an average age of 30 who share a love for football.
The club aims to strengthen friendships, encourage teamwork and provide an outlet for its members to stay active while pursuing demanding careers in the entertainment industry.
