Village Grocer officially opened its first Northern region outlet at Vangohh Eminent, Bukit Mertajam on April 16, 2026, marking a major expansion into Penang and Seberang Perai.
The new store offers a curated mix of imported premium produce, quality meats and seafood, artisanal and health-focused groceries as well as ready‑to‑eat deli offerings, bringing its signature “Passion to Delight” experience to the local community.
The opening also reflects growing demand for elevated grocery retail in fast‑growing northern townships.
Vangohh Eminent group chief executive officer Ice Goh said the brand’s expansion strategy is focused on bringing a unique and elevated grocery shopping experience to communities while enhancing the lifestyle standards in surrounding neighborhoods.

The Food Purveyor (operator of Village Grocer) group executive director Ivan Tan said the opening of its newest premium outlet at Vangohh Eminent, Bukit Mertajam was part of the chain’s strategy to bring its premium grocery experience to the Northern market.
“We have designed this outlet to reflect a modern, welcoming aesthetic that complements the iconic architecture of this development.
