Jaya Grocer has secured three major accolades at the Retail Asia Awards 2026, held on June 3, 2026 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.
The three awards are: Supermarket of the Year – Malaysia, Private Label Brand of the Year – Malaysia, and Retail Distribution Network of the Year – Malaysia.
Jaya Grocer’s milestones reflect an ongoing commitment to elevating the Malaysian grocery experience through strategic network expansion, a robust partnership with Grab, and supply chain automation.
Jaya Grocer has grown its footprint to over 60 stores nationwide, including the launch of its premium Jaya Grocer Signature at KLGCC Mall.
The retailer utilizes a “Mega Store” model that allows up to 17,000 SKUs to be available online through GrabMart, resulting in significant online order growth. Its seamless bridging of digital and in-store shopping led to the brand winning Supermarket of the Year – Malaysia award.
The homegrown supermarket expanded its private label lineup by collaborating with Grab Signatures, translating local restaurant flavours, such as Village Park Nasi Lemak Sambal, Inside Scoop ice cream, K Fry and KGB, into ready-to-consume grocery formats.
The successful transition of Grab Signatures into retail products earned it the coveted Private Label Brand of the Year – Malaysia.
To strengthen its supply chain and support future growth, Jaya Grocer invested over RM100 million in Malaysia’s first automated grocery distribution centre in Petaling Jaya. Its distribution network currently dispatches more than 40,000 cartons daily to its retail stores across Peninsular Malaysia.
The investment helped the Malaysian supermarket chain win the Retail Distribution Network of the Year – Malaysia accolade.
Jaya Grocer will be hosting a special appreciation weekend from June 25 to 26, 2026 to express gratitude to its loyal customers.
Shoppers can purchase the award-winning private label product, SOI 55 Thai Garlic Lime Flavoured Sauce, for just RM2, with a minimum spend of RM50 in a single receipt.
