The “Discover Guizhou” (“马”上来贵州) cultural and tourism campaign to promote Guizhou, China, kicked off with a media preview on August 8, 2026 at Level 9, Pavilion Elite, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Running from August 8 until September 8, 2026, the month-long event showcases Guizhou’s rich ethnic culture, karst landscapes and tourism highlights to Malaysian travellers and strengthen bilateral cultural and economic ties.

Jointly organised by Mango Media and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, with support from Silian Siwawa Guizhou (丝恋丝娃娃) and the Malaysia Guizhou Chamber of Commerce, the campaign aims to boost travel connectivity and tourism cooperation between Guizhou and Malaysia.

The campaign transforms Pavilion Elite into a Guizhou Cultural Street featuring traditional Miao and Yi cultural performances, Miao ethnic costumes, traditional horsehair embroidery, wax-resist dyeing, rice cake pounding, local foods and tourism showcases highlighting iconic natural attractions like the Huangguoshu Waterfall, stunning mountain ranges, and local village traditions.

During the campaign, shoppers who spend RM250 or more at Pavilion Elite can redeem a limited-edition Guizhou fridge magnet or pouch.
The initial launch serves as a prelude to the core flagship event: the Discover Guizhou – China–Malaysia Cultural Tourism and Audiovisual Exchange Journey, scheduled for August 29, 2026.

The core flagship event will officially unveil Guizhou’s tourism promotion initiatives for the Malaysian market, highlighting the province’s natural landscapes, diverse ethnic cultures and distinctive tourism experiences. It aims to inspire more Malaysians to discover Guizhou as their next travel destination.

The event will bring together representatives from the tourism industry, media and partners to unveil Guizhou’s latest travel initiatives and strengthen cultural exchange and tourism collaboration between Malaysia and Guizhou, paving the way for deeper bilateral engagement in the future.
