
The Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 concluded its global journey with a vibrant three-day celebration from June 26 to June 28 at Central i-City in Shah Alam, Selangor, under the theme “The Wholesome Taste of Thai”.
Serving as the grand finale and first Southeast Asian stop in the series, the event showcased Thailand’s rich cultural identity through food, lifestyle, tourism and creative experiences, offering Malaysians the opportunity to experience the essence of Thailand closer to home.

The event was organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with Central i-City, Central Pattana’s first shopping centre development outside Thailand, following previous showcases at Selfridges London, KaDeWe Berlin and de Bijenkorf Amsterdam.

Thai actor and singer Third Lapat made a special appearance at the festival, delighting fans with a live performance.

A massive bazaar featured authentic Thai cuisine and street food like Som Tam, Moo Ping, and live Thai cooking demonstrations., alongside cultural performances such as Nora, Phirom Ros Siam and Pong Pai.

Other highlights of the festival included a Sawasdee Lounge that featured a Thai-inspired Floating Market, where visitors enjoyed traditional desserts, local snacks live busker performances and interactive games.

Families and children immersed themselves in authentic Thai culture through workshops, arts-and-crafts sessions, fun challenges, dessert-making activities and a Kids Muay Thai Workshop.

Dedicated traditional massage corners at the festival provided parents with a much-needed retreat to recharge.

The collaboration between TAT and Central i-City reflects a shared commitment to promoting Thailand’s cultural identity and tourism experiences, making more accessible to Malaysians. The festival blended TAT’s cultural and tourism showcases with the mall’s lifestyle attractions to deliver a multifaceted experience.

“Malaysia continues to be one of Thailand’s most important tourism markets, and Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 provides an opportunity for Malaysians to experience the culture, cuisine and hospitality that make Thailand such a beloved destination,” said the governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
During the festival period, shoppers who spent RM200 or more at participating Central i-City stores received complimentary ChaTraMue Thai Tea, with top five highest spenders entering a lucky draw to win a round-trip to Phuket.
