CelcomDigi Berhad launched the next phase of its CD:NXT talent development initiative on October 2, 2026 at CelcomDigi Tower, Petaling Jaya, anchored by three core programmes to bridge academia and industry.
The event was officiated by Higher Education director-general Datuk Prof Dr Azlinda Azman on behalf of Higher Education Minister Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir

CelcomDigi chief executive officer Albern Murty said Malaysian corporations have a role to play in partnering with the government to create meaningful opportunities for young Malaysians to grow and lead the delivery of national aspirations.
“We continue to engage with universities and Malaysian graduates, and our experience gives us the firm belief that Malaysia produces exceptional human capital with the right capabilities to drive the country’s economic ambitions and the next wave of digitally driven economic growth,” he said.
“CD:NXT is our commitment to building that future. We continue to invest in talent today to nurture a generation of Malaysians to grow their careers, have the freedom to innovate, build character and shape the nation’s future,” he added.

The newcampus@celcomdigi initiative is a work-based learning partnership with four universities, namely Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and HELP University, where second-year students tackle real business challenges in coursework with industry mentorship, while selected final-year students do on-site residencies at CelcomDigi’s headquarters.
Through the residency programme, CelcomDigi aims to accommodate over 300 students annually, integrating real-world work experience into degree programs, with plans to add more universities over time.
Meanwhile, the Young Talent Programme (YTP) is a two-year leadership and career acceleration track for high-potential fresh graduates, with its second cohort onboarding 20 high-potential talents in specialized tech fields.
Candidates undergo rotational assignments and mentorship across modern tech disciplines including Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data & Business Analytics, Digital Product Development, and AI & Automation.
Completing the CD:NXT portfolio, the Certifications programme expands emerging technology learning through extensions of the CelcomDigi Metaversity programme to provide recognized AI and XR (extended reality) accreditations.
Through this ecosystem, CelcomDigi aims to meet the evolving needs of the digital economy while supporting the nation’s long-term growth ambitions, in line with the aspirations of the Rancangan Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia (RPTM) 2026-2035 to build a highly skilled digital workforce.
