Sungei Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur hosted the vibrant Autumn Music & Cultural Festival 2026 from Sept 25 to 27, transforming the heart of Bukit Bintang into a massive open-air entertainment and cultural hub.
The festival transformed the vibrant center of Kuala Lumpur into a massive stage featuring international stars, local artistes, multi-ethnic dance showcases, a cultural fashion runway and an expansive outdoor bazaar.
Held directly in front of Sungei Wang Plaza, along Jalan Sultan Ismail in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, the three-day event served as the grand finale of its “An Autumn Reunion” campaign from Sept 4 to 27, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 and the mall’s 50th Golden Anniversary.
The festival also marked the return of a major, street-level open-air cultural celebration on Jalan Sultan Ismail after nearly 14-years. The initiative demonstrates the potential of strategic public-private sector collaboration in activating key tourism areas and enhancing Bukit Bintang’s appeal as a vibrant tourism precinct in support of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign.
The event focused on celebrating Malaysia’s multicultural heritage through music, cultural performances and interactive activities, alongside more than 100 booths offering street food, local products and handicrafts.
Over 30 celebrity artistes took the stage, including Malaysia’s top girl group DOLLA, Steady Gang, Layla Sania and Vanessa Reynauld, alongside popular TVB stars Moon Lau and Owen Cheung.
The cultural performances featured Lion and Dragon dances, Gendang Muhibbah, Zapin, Joget, Indian cultural presentations and Mangunatip bamboo dance, reflecting the country’s diverse ethnic communities.
The festival was projected to draw 170,000 visitors, targeting local communities alongside domestic and international tourists.
