The 15th annual Art of Speed Malaysia (AOS 2026) drew thousands of visitors to the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS) on August 1–2, 2026.
Celebrating its milestone anniversary with a “Summer Festival” theme, the massive custom culture event featured international automotive icons, rare vintage builds, the Hot Wheels Collectors Convention, the SoundCircus music festival, unique attractions like Asia’s first flying fox over a live concert, and major competitive wins.
Art of Speed Malaysia and SoundCircus Festival founder and festival director Asep Ahmad Iskandar said the event’s global reach stems from long-term regional partnerships with builders, brands, and enthusiasts across Southeast Asia and the wider global Kustom Kulture scene.
“The international support we have received is a reflection of what Art of Speed has built over the years – not just as an event, but as a platform that connects builders, brands, artists and enthusiasts from around the world.
“As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to celebrate creativity, support our local community and showcase Malaysia as a leading destination for Kustom Kulture in the region,” he said.
The event hosted a large roster of prominent international automotive builders, designers, brands, and media figures from Japan, the United States, and across Asia, including Wataru Kato (Liberty Walk) and Emi Suganuma (MOONEYES Japan).
Showcases included vintage masterpieces of rare machines such as a 1945 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead (Hawgholic) and a 1966 Shovelhead (Vise Clothing).
A major highlight of this year’s showcase was the triumphant return of the revived SoundCircus Festival, took centre stage across a 4-acre site featuring six distinct music stages and over 60 regional and international acts.
Festivalgoers enjoyed an electrifying line-up featuring Ella x Cokelat, Jemput Dengar featuring Sheila Majid, Nadin Amizah, Disagree, Johnny Pandora, Dannqrack & Eemrun, Hari Slatan, the 20th anniversary celebration of Hujan, and the 30th anniversary of Asian Hardcore.
The 4th Hot Wheels Collectors Convention Malaysia (HWCCM) 2026 held in conjunction with AOS Malaysia 2026 featured exclusive drops, custom car contests and a special meet-and-greet with Hot Wheels Premium Lead Product Designer Ronald Wong.
A major highlight was the release of the HWCCM 2026 Exclusive Custom 1:64 scale Nissan Skyline GT-R V·Spec II (BNR34) die-cast model, complete with a unique serial number, official Nissan licensing, and authentic Motul and Yokohama decals.
Visitors also enjoyed a special collaboration with Astro Shaw promoting the sports biographical film “Terbang”, giving fans an up-close look at the movie’s iconic rally hero vehicle alongside exclusive actor meet-and-greets.
In conjunction with AOS 2026, Tourism Selangor unveiled Tourscape @ Selangor on August 1, 2026, to promote road trip adventures, blending car culture with local tourism to support Visit Selangor Year 2026.
The initiative features Road Trip Fun Maps to drive local tourism by steering motorists through all 12 districts of Selangor, from Sepang to Sabak Bernam, to discovering the state’s attractions, culture, gastronomy and authentic local experiences.
The launch ceremony was officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, together with Selangor State Executive Council Member for Local Government and Tourism Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, and Tourism Selangor chief executive officer Chua Yee Ling.
They also took the opportunity to tour the festival’s many attractions to support local creative economies, regional tourism and custom automotive subcultures.
The AOS 2026 featured intense competitions, with top accolades went to Shaun Jonathan Pinto for Best of Show Automobile (1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica), securing a spot at the 34th Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2026 in Japan; The Bangkok Boys for Best of Show Motorcycle; and Mujo Joros for the Invitational Bike Build-Off for both Overall Jury and Public Choice awards.
Additional category winners included Best Marketplace: Vespa; Best Display Car: Mitsubishi L200 Cyclone – Kookza Leadership Custom; Display Motorcycle: Hills Angels; Mooneyes Pick: Leftgekuht Volkswagen; Abah & Sons Pick: Jontoe Cycle Works; Bangkok Hot Rod Custom Show Pick: Adipati Bertiga; Liberty Walk Pick: Royal Enfield Booth; Best of Show Automobile: Shaun Jonathan Pinto (1957 356 Speedster Replica); and Best of Chopper Paradise Above 401CC:Danish Hafiz (VAG 5100), among others.
