Global apparel retailer Uniqlo has launched a 2026 Spring/Summer collection under its Lifewear banner with Danish womenswear designer Cecilie Bahnsen.
The SS26 collab collection themed “Shapes of Poetry,” combines Cecilie Bahnsen’s elevated design and craftsmanship with Uniqlo’s focus on comfort and materials for everyday wear.

The LifeWear collection, which debuts on May 22, 2026, features eight women’s styles, including shirts, blouses, skirts and dresses, and five for girls, marking Bahnsen’s first foray into children’s wear.

Cecilie Bahnsen expressed enthusiasm about her first collaboration with the global apparel retailer.
“I’m so happy to be collaborating with Uniqlo for the first time. I’ve always designed pieces to be lived in, worn and cherished every day, just as all Uniqlo LifeWear embodies. I’m very excited to be able to share that with so many women and girls around the world through this collection.
“Working with Maria and Louise Thonfeldt on the campaign has felt extremely special; they so naturally embody the sisterhood at the heart of Cecilie Bahnsen and everything we hoped this collection could express,” she said.

Yukihiro Katsuta, Fast Retailing group senior executive officer and head of R&D for Uniqlo commented, “Around the time Uniqlo opened its first store in Denmark in Copenhagen in 2019, I had an opportunity to meet Cecilie by chance. I was immediately drawn to her approach to craftsmanship and hoped that one day we might have the opportunity to create something together.
“Seven years on, that long-standing connection has finally come to fruition in the form of this collaboration that reinterprets the warmth and handcrafted sensibility of Cecilie Bahnsen through a distinctly Uniqlo perspective,” he said.

The essence of Cecilie Bahnsen is expressed through floral motifs, voluminous sleeves and intricate detailing like frills and shirring. The line-up of dresses, tops and skirts with standout design details can be worn lightly as single pieces with beautiful silhouettes, or combined as matching sets for a cohesive, polished look.
As a mother herself, Cecilie has had a long fascination with childrenswear, which comes to life in a thoughtfully considered girls’ line that includes dresses, T-shirts and skorts as a continuation of the adult styles.
The full collection will be available at four selected Uniqlo stores in Malaysia, including Fahrenheit88, The Exchange TRX, 1 Utama Shopping Centre and Mid Valley Megamall, as well as online at uniqlo.com
