Thousands run in Oxyenergy x Media Prima Merdeka Run 2026

More than 1,500 runners gathered at Balai Berita, Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 13, 2026, for the Oxyenergy x Media Prima Merdeka Run to celebrate national unity and community wellness.

The run offered 3.5km and 5.5km routes and featured a dedicated category for individuals with disabilities (OKU). Special awards were also given to the youngest and oldest participants.

The Oxyenergy x Media Prima Merdeka Run 2026 was flagged off by senior management figures, including Media Prima Berhad’s deputy group managing editor of News and Current Affairs (NCA), Datuk Farrah Naz Abd Karim.

Present at the flag-off were key media executives from Media Prima Berhad, including Media Prima News and Current Affairs deputy group managing editor Datuk Farrah Naz Karim, NST deputy group editor Sharanjit Singh and Media Prima Television Networks News and Current Affairs group editor Datuk Azhari Muhidin.

The event celebrates Malaysia’s National Day and Malaysia Day through fitness and unity.

Held under the theme “Empowering Healthier Malaysians This Merdeka”, the event brought together various community members looking for a relaxed, non-competitive activity.

The event features a dedicated category to ensure participants from the OKU community could actively join alongside the 1,500 other runners.

Organised in collaboration with Media Prima, the initiative encouraged Malaysians of all ages and fitness levels to embrace active living while strengthening community connections during the nation’s patriotic celebrations.

Actress Atikah Suhaime joins the Oxyenergy x Media Prima Merdeka Run 2026, embracing wellness and the Merdeka spirit.

Beyond the run, participants engaged in a range of wellness-focused activities, including the Oxyenergy Wellness Session, which shared practical insights on nutrition, self-care and everyday wellbeing.

The Oxyenergy x Media Prima Merdeka Run 2026 successfully brought together over 1,500 runners at Balai Berita, Bangsar, on Sept 13, 2026, to celebrate health, unity and national pride.

Visitors also explored Oxyenergy’s wellness solutions, including White Tomato, L-Carnitine, DailyBiome and Easy Fiber, reflecting the brand’s holistic approach to supporting health, nutrition, fitness and beauty.

Oxyenergy brand manager Syahirah Amran said the company took immense pride in uniting thousands of Malaysians foran event that actively promoted a healthy lifestyle, local community engagement, and national patriotism.

“The strong turnout demonstrated growing interest in adopting healthier lifestyles and reinforced our commitment to supporting wellbeing through meaningful community engagement. The event reflected the company’s commitment to making wellness more accessible and achievable for Malaysians,” he said.

Runners received their finisher medals right at the finish line after completing the Oxyenergy x Media Prima Merdeka Run 2026.

The event also featured lucky draws and family-friendly entertainment, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Further strengthening its presence in Malaysia, Oxyenergy announced that its products would be made available in selected Watsons outlets nationwide from Nov 2026, improving consumer access to its wellness offerings. The company’s featured products are registered with the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) under the Ministry of Health Malaysia and halal-certified.

The run was attended by government leaders, Media Prima executives, media personalities, athletes and influencers, including Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Youth and Sports Minister Dr Taufiq Johari, Media Prima Group chairman Datuk Seri Syed Hussian Aljunid, and group managing director Datuk Rafiq Razali, actively running alongside the public.
