Maggi has partnered with the Community Development Department (Kemas) for the Program Maggi Wanita Cukup Berani 4.0 to drive women’s empowerment, particularly in rural and semi-urban communities across Malaysia.
The initiative leverages cooking as an accessible entry point to teach vital entrepreneurial skills such as business fundamentals, digital marketing, and financial management.
Kemas is an agency under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development that focuses on strengthening community development and rural education in Malaysia.
The initiative provides an 8-week mentorship program and seed funding of RM5,000 to help participants transform their business ideas into reality.
Women are encouraged to submit their business ideas before the 31 May deadline.

The initiative kicked off on May 14, 2026 at the Pusat Kegiatan Masyarakat (PKM) in Bandar Baru Klang, served as a vibrant platform for meaningful community transformation.
The programme specifically targets women from B40 communities, bridging the gap between traditional skills and modern entrepreneurship
Ivy Tan Link Cheh, business executive officer of Maggi Malaysia and Singapore said the Program Maggi Wanita Cukup Berani is designed to help women take the courageous first step to improve their lives and communities.
“Today, that first step matters more than ever. As the digital economy continues to grow, women who begin now have the opportunity to build sustainable income streams, gain confidence, and create brighter futures for themselves and their families.
“Women have always been the backbone of families and communities, and increasingly, they are becoming a key pillar of the nation’s economy. When we uplift women, we uplift entire households and future generations,” she said.
Tan said the initiative equips Malaysian women with practical digital tools, structured mentorship, and funding to grow their businesses through collaboration with Kemas, Google and TikTok.
“Through Kemas, alongside collaborations with Google and TikTok, we are providing not just inspiration, but practical tools, mentorship, and real opportunities for women to grow and succeed,” she said.

Participants who complete the learning modules and submit their food business ideas compete for the seed grant, where five selected individuals will receive RM5,000 each in funding and an eight-week structured mentorship to validate and scale their enterprises.
Datuk Mohd Hanafiah Man, director-general of Kemas said the department is committed to creating sustainable pathways for women to thrive.
“The Program Maggi Wanita Cukup Berani presents a timely opportunity for Malaysian women, especially those in B40 communities, to turn their ideas into real income-generating ventures,” he said.
Malaysian women are encouraged to submit their business ideas before 31 May, complete the four online modules, and join the movement at https://www.maggi.my/ms/maggi-happenings/WanitaCukupBerani_Musim4/.
