
Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (Mydin) has launched the ‘Lokal Lagi Gempak’ campaign, reinforcing its commitment to promote Malaysian-made products, in conjunction with the 2025 Buy Malaysian Products” campaign.
The campaign, in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) is aimed at empowering Malaysian-made products and uplifting Malaysian entrepreneurs.
Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh officiated the event at Mydin Subang Jaya on Nov 20, 2025..
The campaign features various promotions and activities to encourage consumers to buy local goods as well as strengthen the position of local entrepreneurs in the retail market.

Mydin managing director Datuk Wira Dr Haji Ameer Ali Mydin said efforts to empower local products have been part of the company’s business priorities for a long time.
“We provide equal opportunities to all local entrepreneurs regardless of business size. What is important is the quality of the product and the ability to meet customer demand.
“This year we are projecting a 15% increase in sales for local products, particularly from IKS (Small and Medium Industries) and PMKS (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises),” he said.

As part of the campaign, the ‘Local Lagi Gempak’ sales carnival took place at Mydin Subang Jaya from Nov 20-23, 2025, with participation from local entrepreneurs with various products exhibited and sold directly to consumers with special price offers.
Mydin also presented the 2025 Local Entrepreneur Appreciation Certificate to 20 companies, recognizing their contribution in promoting and marketing their local products at Mydin hypermarket and retail chain. Of these, 10 are local enterprises registered as entrepreneurs under the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living.
The ‘Local Lagi Gempak’ campaign is running across all Mydin outlets nationwide until Dec 31, 2025.
