Malaysian rice brand Jati, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, has officially earned a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for creating the country’s largest living padi art installation, titled Natural Waves of Malaysia.
The giant artwork, measuring 119 feet by 126 feet, with the Jati logo measuring 58.42 feet by 19.07 feet, functions as a creative tribute to Malaysia’s rich agricultural heritage and local farming communities.
It was unveiled on Aug 31, 2026 at the Laman Padi section of the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Show (Maha) 2026 at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (Maeps).
The stunning formation features a giant heart shape alongside the Jati brand name, and made entirely from living MR 284 padi plants using different stages of growth so that they matured at different times to create naturalcolour contrast, without any paint, dye, or synthetic materials used.
The MBOR certificate was presented by MBOR chief operating officer Jwan Heah to of LK Labuan Foundation chairman Low Kok Kean, who received the certification on behalf of Jati, in the presence of Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu
“This achievement was a proud moment for everyone involved in bringing the project to life. As a brand rooted in the rice industry, we wanted to celebrate paddy in a different way while highlighting the creativity and agricultural capabilities we have here in Malaysia,” said Low.
