Sunway Medical Centre (SMC) in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya has launched the “Time to Move” 90-day wellness programme to guide participants on a holistic health journey.

The programme, in collaboration with Samsung Malaysia Electronics, empowers participants to take charge of their well-being by providing tools, professional guidance and consistent support over 90 days to ensure long-lasting improvements in their health.

“The Time to Move programme reflects our commitment to holistic wellness, starting with an initial body check-up to help participants understand where they stand, and ending with a final assessment that shows how far they’ve come,” said SMC chief executive officer Dr Seow Vei Ken at the launch of the programme at SunMed Convention Centre on Oct 16, 2024.

He said, “It’s not just about knowing your numbers at the start, but about making real changes over 90 days to become a healthier version of yourself.”

Attendees participate in one of the fitness challenges using technology to track their progress during the “Time to Move” wellness programme launch.

Samsung Malaysia Electronics vice president and head of mobile eXperience business, KM Liew said the company drives innovation in health monitoring, offering advanced tools through sleep tracking, fitness coaching or nutritional insights.

“The Time to Move 90-day wellness program reflects our commitment to helping users gain deeper insights into their health and make informed, positive lifestyle choices,” he said.

Also present at the event were SMC Business Development & Corporate Communication senior director Tan Mei Shin, Wellness and Dental Centre head Dr Lim Pek Yean, Samsung Malaysia Electronics Mobile Experience Business’ business director Kevin Taehoon Kim and its head of product marketing Luke Au.

The Time to Move programme is designed for individuals who are 18 years old and above and wish to improve their health and are not on any medication.

The recruitment process for the programme began since Oct 3 and more than 200 sign up were received. 60 participants have been chosen to embark on this journey.

Selected participants will receive a Samsung Galaxy Watch7 to track daily activity, monitor calories burned, body composition and measure sleep quality.

Over the course of the 90-day programme, participants will be supported by healthcare professionals, engaged in fitness challenges and equipped with technology to monitor their progress.

The programme culminates with a final assessment, giving participants the opportunity to see measurable outcomes, track improvements and experience the satisfaction of becoming healthier, stronger and more energetic.

Monthly challenges focusing on physical activities and sleep score will keep participants motivated, while healthcare professionals will provide regular insights and guidance based on their progress.

In addition to the physical challenges, the programme includes group workout sessions led by experts, ensuring participants stay motivated and engaged throughout their journey.

By the end of the 90 days, participants will undergo a final check-up to compare their results and celebrate their progress.

The participant who shows the best progress will walk away with a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and a 3-Day, 2-Night Getaway for Two at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat worth RM 10,000.
