The Off The Grid (OTG) 2024, an outdoor lifestyle event, was held as a standalone event for the first time at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (Maeps) from Feb 23 – 25, 2024.
The 3-day event for outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts proved to be a success for the Art of Speed team, with a total crowd attendance of over 30,000 visitors.
Off The Grid is a sub-brand created by the team behind Art Of Speed (AOS) – Malaysia’s homegrown automotive lifestyle event.
Art of Speed Malaysia founder Asep Iskandar said Off The Grid started in 2022 as a pocket event within Art Of Speed, and this year will be the third event for Off The Grid as a standalone event.
“After building a substantial fanbase for Off The Grid, we are now creating a standalone event. With Art Of Speed expertise in community building we want to bridge the various outdoor lifestyle communities in one major event,” he said.
This year’s lineup includes numerous camping lifestyle genres, featuring motorhomes, 4×4, 6×6, recreational vehicles (RV), campervans, push bikes, plus a plethora of camping equipment, gadgets and accessories.
The activities in OTG 2024 included Skimpool, Surf Skate, Roller Disko, Strider Cup, traditional and acoustic performances and a mini-RC Crawler showcase for remote-controlled toy car hobbyists.
Contestants competed in the BBQ showdown cooking competition, and coffee lovers converged for a good cup of brew at the Brew Fiesta.
They were also full of fun spots for children to explore at the OTG Wet Park, Balloon Castle and exotic petting zoo.
Asep thanked the exhibiting vendors for the success of OTG 2024, including Montanic Adventure Store, Anbot Store, CampGuru, Eiger Adventure, Pahlawan Store, Outside Malaysia, TJM 4×4, Titan Suspension, NoEqual and Kuzig.
“Your support played a key role in the success of our event, and we appreciate your participation,” he said.
Unique to OTG 2024 was the Best Booth Competition for exhibiting vendors to show their creativity in booth design, which was won by Montanic Adventure Store for Best Booth and Eiger Adventure for Best Display.
The two winners, one for each category, won a trip to the FieldStyle Jamboree 2024 at Nagoya, Japan this coming May 18-19, 2024.
