Resorts World Genting introduces Denza D9 EV shuttle service

Resorts World Genting has introduced a shuttle fleet featuring three Denza D9 Premium electric MPVs to transport guests between Genting Grand and Crockfords hotels within the resort.

Resorts World Genting (RWG) has launched its first-ever MPV electric vehicle (EV) shuttle service using the Denza D9 Premium, marking a significant milestone in the resort’s sustainability journey.

The official handover ceremony took place at Awana Village, Resorts World Awana on May 20, 2026 and brough together representatives from Resort World Genting, Denza Sime Motors and BYD Sime Motors.

The luxury MPVs feature a spacious three-row layout and premium Nappa leather seats for a plush, comfortable experience.

The fleet of fully electric Denza D9 Premium MPVs will operates between Genting Grand and Crockfords hotels to provide a premium, eco-friendly guest transport experience within the resort.

The initiative reflects RWG’s ongoing commitment towards reducing carbon emissions and supporting greener mobility solutions in line with its broader sustainability vision.

Speaking during the ceremony, RWG sales, marketing and public relations executive vice-president Spencer Lee highlighted the importance of adopting cleaner transportation alternatives within the integrated resort.

“The introduction of the Denza D9 Premium shuttle service marks an important milestone in RWG’s sustainability journey. As we continue exploring greener initiatives across our operations, we also want to elevate the guest experience by providing transportation that is not only efficient and luxurious, but also environmentally responsible,” he said.

Denza Sime Motors head of retail Bea Kwang Tat said the company was honoured that RWG had chosen the Denza D9 for its shuttle service.

“We believe the D9 will elevate the overall guest experience in line with the resort’s positioning. This handover marks the beginning of a longer journey, as we continue to grow our presence in Malaysia and deliver outstanding products and services our customers can trust,” he said.

The luxury MPVs feature a spacious three-row seating layout with premium NAPPA leather seats and are powered by BYD’s advanced Blade Battery technology, delivering a quieter and smoother ride experience for guests.
