Resorts World Genting celebrates Christmas with underprivileged children

Resorts World Genting spreads Christmas cheer and celebrates with underprivileged children from two charity homes.

In the spirit of Christmas, Resorts World Genting hosted a fun day out for underprivileged children at the resort.

Forty orphans and caretakers from two homes, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary, Kuala Lumpur and Sweet Care Home, Batu Caves were invited to a celebration at the resort.

Upon arrival, the children, aged five to 17 were feted to a scrumptious feast with Christmas music at Crockfords Soho. They were then presented with Christmas presents before being ushered to Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park for a fun and thrilling day.

The children enjoy various adrenaline-pumping rides at the Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park.

At the theme park, the children were taken on a tour of Gohtong Way and the Lake of Dreams and enjoyed various adrenaline-pumping rides such as Ice Age’s Acorn Adventure, Rio’s Samba Glider, ESD Global Defender, Alpha Fighter Pilots and the Terraform Tower Challenge, all under the watchful eye of Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park ambassadors.

The 4D immersive rides such as Independence Day: Defiance and Invasion of the Planet of the Apes were also a hit with the children.

The children receive Christmas presents from Dato Sri Kay Atisha Parasuraman.

“It is heart-warming to see big smiles on the children’s faces. We are happy to indulge children in need and spread cheer this festive season.

“Christmas is all the more meaningful when you are able to gift memorable experiences and joy,” said Dato Sri Kay Atisha Parasuraman, vice president of corporate communications and public relations, Genting Malaysia Berhad.

Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary coordinator Malar Mathews said, “This day out has been a tremendous experience for the children. They enjoyed the Christmas feast and had so much fun frolicking in the theme park. This trip has truly lifted their spirits and will be embedded in their memories for a long time.”
