
The Malaysian International Food and Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026 landmark 25th edition took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from July 15–17.
Anchored by the theme “Future-Ready F&B: Powering the Next Wave,” the event brought together an international marketplace to showcase breakthrough innovations in food tech, sustainability and cross-border trade to future-proof Southeast Asia’s food ecosystem.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Deputy Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Chan Foong Hin.
During his keynote address, the Deputy Minister shared insights on navigating global supply chain challenges and the industry’s role in future-readiness.

Organiser One International Group founder and chief executive officer Roger Lim said that businesses now seek ideas, solutions, and strategic partnerships over mere products to successfully navigate today’s complex markets.
“From innovative food products and emerging technologies to international suppliers and expert-led industry discussions, MIFB is where meaningful conversations become commercial opportunities.
“By bringing together every part of the food ecosystem, we aim to help businesses build stronger partnerships, unlock new market opportunities and prepare the industry for what’s next,” he said.

MIFB 2026 served as a vital launchpad for food and beverage businesses navigating shifting consumer preferences, sustainability expectations and complex supply chains.
The event has evolved from a traditional trade exhibition into a business-first platform for manufacturers and industry stakeholders to build cross-border partnerships, tackle supply chain challenges and drive market expansion.

This year’s MIFB Knowledge Hub equips F&B businesses with actionable tools and insights. It accelerates growth for both agile startups and scaling exporters by addressing AI-driven tech integration, international export readiness, cost management, and sustainable supply chain strategies.
The programme featured an industry-leading lineup of speakers from organisations, including Toastmaker, HEXA IOT, Tetra Pak, StoreHub, Subway, Supergulp, PurelyB, World Halalpreneur Council and WonderBrew.
Visitors experienced a range of industry showcases, including the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC), organised in partnership with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA). The event served as the official platform for baristas to compete for the chance to represent Malaysia on the international stage.
This year’s championship celebrates the recent milestone achievements of its 2025 local champions: Nas Jaafar who was recently crowned the 2026 World Brewers Cup Champion, and Jacky Chang, who secured first runner-up at the 2026 World Latte Art Championship.
Together, MIFB and Malaysia Cafe Expo (MCE) spotlight premier homegrown talent, showcase evolving consumer trends, and provide fresh insights into the rapidly growing cafe and specialty coffee landscape.
Theinternational pavilions provided buyers and trade visitors with direct access to global partners, emerging food innovations and new sourcing opportunities, including from China, India, Poland, South Korea, Turkey and Thailand.
Their participation reflected Malaysia’s growing role as a regional gateway for food trade, investment and industry collaboration.
Beyond the exhibition floor, the three-day event offered a curated programme to connect F&B professionals, startups and investors to collaborate and scale their ventures.
The MIFB ChefTable, featured award-winning chefs who utilized ingredients and equipment supplied by MIFB exhibitors to create innovative, future-forward menus.
The MIFB Connect networking sessions linked F&B manufacturers, retailers, and HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant and Catering) professionals directly with qualified buyers and international distributors; while the MIFB Launchpad allowed emerging startups to pitch their business concepts and market innovations to top industry investors.
