Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has launched an expanded Ford Ranger line-up with the introduction of the latest Ranger Platinum, Ranger Sport and Ranger XL at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya on July 23, 2026.
The expansion follows sales of over 24,000 units since 2022, highlighting its strong market presence for versatile pick-up trucks across the country.
Auto ConneXion managing director Turse Zuhair said the next-generation Ford Ranger is a true Malaysian favourite, backed by a milestone of over 24,000 units sold locally since its 2022 debut.
“With more than 24,000 vehicles on Malaysian roads, this demonstrates the trust and confidence customers have in the Ranger’s capabilities. This trust has been built on Ford’s relentless focus on quality, which was recently recognised when Ford was named the No.1 mainstream automotive brand in the 2026 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study.
“As customer expectations continue to evolve, we are expanding the Ranger family to offer vehicles that deliver the ideal balance of toughness, advanced technology and premium comfort,” he said.

The Ranger Platinum is powered with a 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine that delivers 250PS at 3,250 rpm and a formidable 600Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Paired with a responsive 10-speed automatic transmission, it offers effortless performance, smooth power delivery and a highly refined driving experience.
It features a Platinum grille, 20-inch alloy wheels, Flexible Rack System and Acacia Green exterior colour.
Inside, the cabin features exclusive Platinum interior finishes, quilted leather-accented seats with heating and ventilation, signature Platinum embossing, and a Bang & Olufsen 8-speaker sound system.
The Ranger Sport is available with 3.0L V6 turbo diesel and 2.0L turbo diesel engine options, delivering a balance of performance and everyday practicality.
It features a grille design with sporty black accents, 18-inch alloy wheels and distinctive exterior styling. Inside, the cabin is enhanced with sleek two-tone seats and a digital instrument cluster, while its full-time 4-wheel drive system for the 3.0L variant and part-time 4-wheel drive system on the 2.0L variant.
Meanwhile, the Ranger XL stands as a workhorse of the line-up for businesses, fleet operators and commercial users.

It features a bold front face, durable wheel design and enhanced exterior details. Prices in Peninsular Malaysia (on-the-road, without insurance) start at RM205,888 for the Ranger Platinum, RM159,888 for the Ranger Sport 3.0L, RM145,888 for the Ranger Sport 2.0L and RM127,888 for the Ranger XL.
At the event, Auto ConneXion also announced a new East Malaysia Parts Hub in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, to provide after-sales service to customers across key regions.
The facility will start phased operations on July 27, 2026, carrying an initial inventory of about 1,000 fast-moving genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts to reduce parts lead times, with selected fast-moving parts available for same day delivery within the Kota Kinabalu area.
