The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026) is officially underway at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), running from June 12 to 21, 2026.
As Malaysia’s premier international automotive showcase, this 11th edition focuses on electric vehicles (EVs), green energy and smart sustainable automotive solutions under the theme “Beyond Mobility”.

Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), with the event managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Qube), the 10-day event highlights sustainable mobility and new energy vehicles across 18 major automotive brands, including Proton, Proton e.MAS, Perodua, Weststar Maxus, Smart, Hyundai, Honda, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, Kia and MG.

The event showcases leading Chinese automotive brands, from EVs to luxury models and smart driving technology, like Jetour, Wuling, GWM, Dongfeng, Zeekr and Xpeng.

On display is the Xpeng X2, a two-seater eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) flying car developed by Xpeng AeroHT. It can stay airborne for up to 35 minutes, with a cruising speed of 130km/h and operates at an altitude of 300 to 500 meters, according to the Chinese car maker.

The event was officiated by Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, who emphasised KLIMS’ vital role in providing an engagement platform centered on conversations around green mobility, electric vehicles (EV) adoption, reducing emissions and moving towards cleaner transportation.

The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh and Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry secretary-general Datuk Hairil Yahri Yaacob.

KLIMS 2026 serves as a platform for showcasing both the future of mobility as well as the automotive industry’s evolutionary shift from traditional transportation to sustainable solutions, providing key insights into transformative trends such as new energy, and sustainable mobility solutions.
Aligned with Malaysia’s energy transition goals, KLIMS 2026 promotes electrified vehicles (xEV) adoption and green technology advancements while emphasising the automotive industry’s critical role in driving economic growth. By fostering collaboration between local manufacturers, SMEs, and global players, the event reinforces Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for automotive innovation.

Speaking at the ceremony Datuk Hasbi Habibollah highlighted Malaysia’s commitment to transitioning towards sustainable and high-value mobility solutions.
“Around the world, we are witnessing rapid advancements in electrification, connected technologies, intelligent transport systems, automation, road safety and alternative energy solutions. These developments are reshaping how we design vehicles, build infrastructure, and plan our cities.
“As we speak about the future of mobility, safety must remain at the centre of our agenda. New mobility must not only be cleaner and more connected; it must also help reduce crashes, protect vulnerable road users and support safer behaviour on our roads.
“Together, we can move Malaysia–beyond mobility,” he said.

Meanwhile, Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president and KLIMS 2026 organising committee chairman Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said the mobility industry has shifted beyond basic transportation to providing comprehensive technology solutions.
“Today, mobility is no longer just about how people commute, it is a reflection on how cities function and how technology connects communities through smarter and more sustainable solutions.
“KLIMS 2026 continues the same theme, “Beyond Mobility”, representing the transformation of the automotive industry from traditional transportation into a broader ecosystem with intelligent mobility solutions.
“We continue to see the shift of Malaysians towards adopting new technology and improved innovations in their everyday lives,” he said.

Visitors to KLIMS 2026 stand a chance to win prizes worth a total of RM125,000, including the grand prize of Perodua Bezza.
