The inaugural Suria KLCC x LEGO Play Run 2026 successfully concluded on June 6, serving as the spectacular grand finale of the wider LEGO MY Play Festival that ran from May 21 to June 7, 2026.
As Southeast Asia’s first-ever LEGO Play Run, the 2km family-friendly event at KLCC Park drew thousands of families, fitness enthusiasts and LEGO builders of all ages to an immersive, brick-filled playground for a day of fun, reconnection, community bonding and mental-health awareness.

Organised as a central pillar of Suria KLCC’s mental and physical well-being initiative, the Play Run 2026 blended physical fitness, real-world connection and interactive storytelling.
Instead of a traditional race, participants traversed a custom-designed 2km route around the scenic KLCC Park, navigating through a series of obstacles and active “play-stops” designed to stimulate collaboration, cognitive development and fun.

Participants were rewarded with a Lego-themed run kit that included an exclusive T-shirt, drawstring bag, water bottle, sports towel and a unique interlocking block-inspired finisher medal that allowed for personalized custom LEGO figurines.
The celebrations wrapped up in dazzling fashion with larger-than-life, 3D brick-building animations projected onto the facade of the Suria KLCC building on the evenings of June 6 and 7.

The campaign also promoted wellness with its signature “Safe Space” initiative, hosting experiential therapeutic activities, educational workshops and psychological support activations, in partnership with the Mental Illness Awareness & Support Association (MIASA), the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA), NYAWA, The Befrienders KL, IHH Healthcare and Petrosains.

Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Francis Tan said the mall consistently strives to push traditional retail boundaries through purpose-driven, world-class experiential events dedicated to social good and community enrichment.
“This landmark partnership with The LEGO Group perfectly represents that ambition. By seamlessly blending LEGO’s philosophy of hands-on discovery with our annual mental and physical health advocacy, we successfully elevated a school holiday celebration into a deeply impactful force for social good,” he said.

He continued, ”The phenomenal turnout for the ‘Play Run 2026’ and the wonderful community reception of our ‘Safe Space’ initiative showcase the public’s desire for real-world connection.
“By incorporating physical play, interactive tenant engagements and vital mental health support under a single unified campaign, we have successfully created a holistic environment for wellness.”
“Moving forward, we intend to continue leveraging our platform to foster a deeply empathetic, vibrant and resilient community,” he added.

The festival grounds also offered a diverse playground across the precinct, featuring a massive mosaic of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, anchored by the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, built using over 51,000 LEGO bricks at the Suria KLCC Centre Court.
Other features at Centre Court included a personalised digital LEGO Minifigure Converter station, and extraordinary 3D builds of local ‘pasar malam’ food culture.

Outdoors at the Esplanade, in tandem with the build-up to the FIFA World Cup 2026, the outdoor arena hosted an interactive LEGO Football Play Arena featuring an 8-foot inflatable football, human foosball match stations, and limited-edition displays honouring modern football legends.

Families enjoyed curated on-site activations featuring wellness workshops and refreshing treats of specialty food and beverage provided by Suria KLCC tenants, featuring wellness workshops and refreshing treats courtesy of 8 Oz Coffee, Godiva, Kiehl’s, F&N, Dotty’s and Fishbowl.

Emphasizing holistic well-being, the Suria KLCC x LEGO Play Run 2026 was supported by IHH Healthcare as the Official Healthcare Partner, with on-site medical support and health screening provided by Gleneagles Hospitals, Pantai Hospitals and Prince Court Medical Centre.
