Peugeot Motocycles launches 4 new models in Malaysia, prices from RM9,990-RM43,990

Peugeot Motocycles has officially entered the Malaysian market, partnering with Aveta International to introduce premium French scooters, with a targeted first-year sales volume of over 3,000 units.

Launched in May 2026, the partnership aims to make Malaysia a key hub for Southeast Asian expansion.

The launch features four premium models, including the XP400 GT (400cc), Django Café Racer, Django Classic, and Speedfight 4+.

The lineup focuses on “Allure” philosophy – a blend of design, performance and practicality.

Each model is engineered with advanced features including i-Connect digital dashboards, advanced ABS and SBC braking systems, smart-key technology and high-rigidity chassis for enhanced stability and control.

The XP400 GT is a premium crossover scooter designed for both urban commuting and light off-road adventure priced at RM43,990.00.

The Django Café Racer is a 150cc neo-retro scooter, positioned as a sportier, premium variant of the standard Django. It is priced at RM16,990.00.

The Django Classic with a base price of RM14,990.00 is designed for modern daily commuting, balancing a nostalgic aesthetic with contemporary functionality.

The Speedfight 4+ isa sporty, urban scooter targeting city commuters with a stylish European design, priced starting from RM9,990.00.

“Notably, the introduction of the XP400 GT marks a first-of-its-kind entry for Peugeot Motocycles in Malaysia, bringing a unique crossover scooter segment that combines versatility with premium appeal.

“With bookings now officially open and deliveries already underway across our expanding nationwide dealer network, we are excited to make this new category accessible to Malaysian riders,” said Aveta International group managing director Steven Lim.

He added that the brand is launching with a premium scooter lineup, featuring local assembly (CKD) for selected models to strengthen its long-term presence in the region.

Selected models, including the Django range and Speedfight 4+, are being assembled locally through Aveta’s Eco 5 initiative to enhance accessibility and strengthen aftersales capabilities.

As part of its expansion plans, the company will adopt a phased rollout with 10 to 15 exclusive dealerships planned for 2026, focusing on urban areas.

The first flagship Peugeot Motocycles Experience Centre will open in Bukit Tambun, Penang on May 9, 2026, followed by locations in Johor Bahru and the Klang Valley in early June 2026.

Founded in 1898, Peugeot Motocycles carries 125+ year legacy of French engineering and “Allure” design philosophy in Southeast Asia. The brand is targeting the premium scooter segment with a lineup that blends European elegance with practical urban mobility.

In Malaysia, this expansion is driven in partnership with Aveta International, which plays a key role in establishing and scaling Peugeot Motocycles’ nationwide dealer network and aftersales support, ensuring accessibility, service reliability and a seamless ownership experience for Malaysian riders.

Peugeot Motorcycles Malaysia is aligning with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), in evaluating electric two-wheelers and exploring smart city mobility solutions, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and future-ready urban transportation.

“Malaysia represents a key strategic market for Peugeot Motorcycles in Southeast Asia. With its dynamic urban landscape and growing demand for premium mobility solutions, we are confident that our unique blend of French design, innovation and practicality will resonate strongly with Malaysian riders,” said Peugeot Motocycles Groupe chief executive officer Laurent Lilti.
