Kam Lung Group soft opens Ford PJ, unveils new Ford Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0

Ford Petaling Jaya (Ford PJ), under a new management by Kam Lung Motor Group, has opened its doors to the public with a soft launch on November 15, 2025, along with the unveiling of a new variant of the Ford Ranger Raptor vehicle.

In his opening address, Kam Lung Motor Group managing director Peter Goh announced the official management change of Ford Petaling Jaya from Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd to Kam Lung Motor Group Sdn Bhd.

“Today is a big deal not just for Ford PJ, but for the entire Kam Lung Motor Group (HK) Ltd, as we plant our very first flag here in Malaysia,” he said.

“For over 40 years, Kam Lung has been rocking the automotive scene across Greater China, including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, with top-notch service and a passion for cars.

“With 36 facilities, 14 iconic brands and over 2,300 hardworking staff, we’ve kept more than 260,000 customers happy and have driven a group turnover of around US$2.0 billion,” he said.

The event, held at the Petaling Jaya Ford showroom, was attended by distinguished guests, that included esteemed media publications, industry colleagues, loyal Ford customers and their families.

Goh said a core aspect the company’s mission is solidifying its position as a premier automotive destination in the Klang Valley.

He continued, ”Now if I may share something personal. My very first car was a Ford Anglia, bought while I was studying in the UK in 1974. For those unfamiliar, the Anglia is the charming little car that flies in the Harry Potter films. But long before it took to the skies on screen, it took me across many parts of the UK – humble, reliable and unforgettable. That car sparked my lifelong admiration for Ford’s cars and design.”

The Ford Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0L V6 Ecoboost 4WD 10AT unveiled is the latest variant of the Ranger Raptor, priced at RM273,888 on-the-road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia.

“Let’s be honest – I  still think Ford makes the best-looking pickup on the road. The Ford Ranger, especially the Raptor, is bold, athletic and unmistakably Ford. It isn’t just a pick-truck, it’s a statement. It’s the kind of vehicle that says, I mean business … but I also know how to have fun,” Goh said during unveiling theFord Ranger Raptor Sport 3.0.

The latest variant of the Ford Ranger Raptor Sport features a powerful 3.0-litre twin turbo Ecoboost V6 engine, built for both urban and off-road adventures. It also features 17” beadlock style wheels, Raptor Sport decals and Raptor Sport Hoop.
