Kuala Lumpur’s Wyndham Grand Bangsar was the scene of celebration on August 23, 2025, as the glittering grand finales of four pageants crowned their respective winners in one unforgettable night of elegance, beauty and empowerment.
Hosted for the first time in Malaysian pageantry history, the four prestigious pageants – Supermodel Universe International/Malaysia 2025, Mrs Earth Malaysia 2025, Mrs Classic Universe Malaysia 2025 and Women of the Universe Malaysia 2025 – lit up the same stage over one night where altogether 20 delegates vied for coveted titles.
This milestone was celebrated not just for the extraordinary achievements, built with determination and countless sacrifices, but also enliven Malaysia’s Merdeka Month celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ammetta Malhotra, national director and organizer of Supermodel Universe Malaysia/International said, “This is the first time we combined four major pageants that had their own unique characteristics and also their national costumes had to show elements of what make us Malaysians, fostering unity, harmony and diversity in conjunction with the Merdeka celebrations on August 31st.”
The event was graced by Datuk Dr Mohinder Singh, the former District Governor of Rotary International District 3300, who attended as Guest of Honour. Also present were Datuk Seri Dr Sri Sukunthan, deputy president of Pertubuhan Majlis Kebudayaan & Warisan Nusantara, and Prof Dr Md. Bipul Nazir, managing director of H Healthcare Group and The Heal Kuala Lumpur.
First up was Risa Suzuki, a 47-year-old clinic administrator from Japan, who was crowned the female champion of the Supermodel Universe International 2025.
In the male category, Vasan, a 33-year-old dancer from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, won the champion title.
The Supermodel Universe International 2025 competition had the participation of delegates from Turkey, Japan, Seychelles, Syria, Nigeria, Kenya and Malaysia, reflecting a vibrant celebration of diversity.
The Supermodel Universe Malaysia 2025 title went to Chelsea Colette, a 30-year-old graphic designer from Selangor while the Supermodel Universe West Malaysia 2025 title was won by Shaneekha Paremeswaran, a 19-year-old medical Student from Penang. Both winners will be competing in the world finals in China later this year.
On the same stage, where the Supermodel Universe coronation was held, the second contest was Woman of the Universe Malaysia 2025, with Shantinee Mahendran, a 45-year-old country director for a recruitment company from Kepong, Kuala Lumpur crowned as the champion.
The Woman of the Universe West Malaysia 2025 title was won by Shalini Devi Chandran, 28, an educator from Selangor.
In the third contest, Miu Miu, a business owner from Selangor won the title of Mrs Classic Universe Malaysia 2025.
Anita Sathasivam, a lead project controls manager from Selangor was named Mrs Classic Universe West Malaysia 2025, while Rene Rin, a business owner from Selangor took the Mrs Classic Universe East Malaysia crown.
The final contest was Mrs Earth Malaysia 2025, with Mandy K Gondaara, an entrepreneur from Kuala Lumpur crowned as the champion, while Kasturi Muniandy, a 37-year-old lawyer from Melaka won the Mrs Earth International Malaysia 2025 and Mrs Earth West Malaysia 2025 titles.
Taking home the Mrs Elite Earth Malaysia 2025 crown was Datin Kelvin Dhillon, a 43-year-old secretary from Kuantan, Pahang.
Aside from the main winners, entrepreneur Angela Jun from Ipoh, Perak, was named the 2025 Mrs Earth International Branding and Image Ambassador, and international diver Roshan Babu Balakrishnan received the International Underwater Sports Icon 2025 awarded by the Malaysia Fashion, Modelling and Pageant Association (MFMPA).
Contestants competed in national costumes, swim wear and evening gowns. There were also two fashion parades – JK Fashion, featuring the male delegates of Supermodel Universe International and Vimono: Vintage Kimono Cardigans by Anastasia. Contestants also showcased their unique abilities during talent show.
Over the past several months, delegates underwent rigorous evaluations that tested their personality, character, determination and advocacy work. They presented environmental initiatives, produced advocacy videos and participated in personal development, oratory and runway classes.
A distinctive highlight this year was the mentorship program, in which delegates from the Mrs categories guided and inspired their younger Supermodel counterparts.
The winners were selected by a judging panel of industry experts, including Alex Lim, Carol Lim, Rebecca Nair, Puneedha Raja Ram, Sharimala Mary Ann, Haniza Mohd Haniff, Ohn Morales, Lady Hyacinth Z, Dato’ David Gurupatham, Carl Graham, Francis Yip HC, Irish Dianne Ingal-Ong and Murugan Michael.
The show was curated by Ammetta who was recently appointed president of Mrs. Earth for a five-year term – an appointment expected to significantly boost Malaysia’s role in international environmental tourism.
In her new role, she will serve as the face and voice of the organisation, championing tourism, friendship, peace, harmony, social causes and the preservation of Mother Earth.
The Mrs. Earth pageant’s mission is to combine beauty and nature in celebrating one of life’s greatest honours: being a woman. The international finals will be hosted across Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Penang, and either Sabah or Sarawak over the next five years.
Main sponsor, The Heal, contributed wellness packages valued at RM150,000 to all the winners and runners-up of Supermodel Universe, Mrs Earth Malaysia, Mrs Classic Universe Malaysia and Women of the Universe Malaysia.
