Sharp Malaysia fuses Japanese aesthetics and innovation to inspire a mighty living experience

Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a leading electronics and home appliances solutions provider, hosted its “Japanese Living to Your Home” product showcase on April 17, 2025 at the company’s headquarters in Shah Alam, Selangor, giving attendees a first-hand look at the new products that integrate Japanese aesthetics with innovative technology.

Marking its 40th anniversary, the event demonstrates Sharps’ commitment to align with local lifestyles through enhancing the quality of life in Malaysian homes across areas such as living, cooking, cleaning and communication.

The new range of products blend Japanese design philosophy with local needs, embodying the hallmark of Japanese craftsmanship – precision, practicality and user-friendly design.

However, Sharp goes one step further by localising its innovations to better suit Malaysian homes in emphasising space-saving features, energy efficiency and functionality.

Sharp’s innovations cover a wide range of home appliances, from immersive entertainment systems to smart solutions for comfort, wellness and productivity.

In entertainment, Sharp unveiled the latest AQUOS H Series TVs, ranging from 50 to 98 inches – the latter being the largest AQUOS TV currently available in Malaysia.

The H Series comprises four lineups: AQUOS XLED, TRU, QLED and 4K, with three of these lineups feature Sharp’s proprietary Deep Chroma QD (Quantum Dot) technology, offering richer and more vivid colours, especially in red and green tones for an immersive cinematic experience.

The series highlight is the AI Magic Sing feature which transforms the living room into singing joint with just the press of a button to enjoy a seamless singing session.

Users can also download the Smart Living Camera App to connect a webcam to the TV, enabling photo and short video capture. The TV’s mirroring function allows users to see themselves during fitness videos, helping them to correct their posture and improving workout effectiveness.

For home appliances, Sharps debuted the new Avance French-Door Refrigerator available in two colours – Tokyo Black and Fuji White. This refrigerator series with its sleek, modern design offers 480L and 750L capacities, providing an ideal food storage solution for various household styles.

Sharp has enlisted its brand ambassadors – Malaysia’s top women’s badminton doubles duo, Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah – for this campaign to represent the theme, “Taiketsu: The Showdown”, symbolising the dynamic interplay between black and white, fashion and function.

Unlike the common “3:7 freezer-to-fridge” ratio, the Mega Freezer adopts a “4:6 design,” providing more freezer space to align with the bulk-purchase habits of Malaysian families, solving limited storage.

The showcase also featured the brand’s newly launched top-load inverter washing machine series, designed to meet modern demands for energy-efficient laundry care. New front-load models were also introduced, catering to younger users’ preferences for stylish design and gentle fabric care. Continuing the 2024 “My Second Washer” concept, the exhibition features three mini washers and tub-less models, designed for washing underwear, sportswear and baby clothes, emphasising hygiene and separation in laundry routines.

Sharo also showcased air purifiers with dehumidifying functions designed for Malaysia’s humid climate. Featuring Plasmacluster ion technology, these purifiers clean the air, suppress bacteria and viruses, and maintain optimal indoor humidity, creating a fresher and healthier home environment.

Additionally, Sharp introduced a two-in-one air conditioner with Plasmacluster technology that combines cooling and air purification functions for all-around indoor air protection.

As Malaysian work culture continues to evolve, the demand for smart business solutions in commercial and service industries is growing.

The SMART Working Life Zone at the showcase highlighted Sharp’s latest E-signage solution. This comprehensive system combines hardware, software and AI-powered content creation to deliver high-performance digital signage for retail, F&B, hospitality and other sectors. From promotional displays and customer engagement to content management, these solutions enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

To coincide with the 2025 product showcase, Sharp has collaborated with Hollywood blockbuster, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning”, by offering complimentary movie tickets for customers to enjoy an immersive audiovisual experience.

In celebrating its 40th anniversary, Sharp has upgraded its after-sales service earlier this year by introducing a “7-Day Service Completion Guarantee” to provide customers with faster, worry-free support. All inverter-series products and selected AQUOS TV models now come with extended warranty coverage, reflecting  Sharp’s unwavering commitment to quality, care and long-term customer trust.
