Resorts World Genting has announced that the Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car (formerly Genting SkyWay) officially resumes its daily operations from October 1, 2024.
Reaching the country’s premier integrated resort in Genting Highlands, Pahang will be easier as visitors can now choose between two cable car routes to enjoy breathtaking rides daily from 7am to 11pm – the iconic Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Cable Car (formerly Awana SkyWay).
Opened in 1997 by former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, the Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car spanning 3.4 km, offers a scenic 15-minute ride through the lush rainforests and cool mountain air over Mount Ulu Kali in Genting Sempah.
As it ascends, visitors are treated to breathtaking views of 130-million-year-old rainforest, soaring over the scenic hills of Genting Highlands. The Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car conveniently transports visitors from Gohtong Jaya Station to Highlands Hotel.
Ticket price is only RM10 one-way or RM18 return for the classic Standard Gondola. For visitors who prefer to skip the waiting time, the Express Boarding Gondola is available for RM16 one-way and RM30 for a return trip.
The most premium and exclusive option is the Chartered Gondola, designed for those seeking privacy and luxury. Priced at RM300 one-way and RM550 for a return trip, this option allows up to 8 passengers to enjoy a private ride.
The Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car resumes operation from Oct 1, promising not only unforgettable exciting experiences for visitors but also create new memories at Resorts World Genting.
