NCT Group ups the ante in push for local and international investors for NSIP project

NCT Group general manager and NSIP project leader Eddy Lim Swee Shien gives a glimpse of NSIP at the 12th Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Conference 2022.

NCT Group was recently invited to present its NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) project to more than 350 delegates that includes representatives from the Hainan Government who joined virtually, at the recent 12th Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Conference (MCEC 2022), themed “Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP)”.

A project endorsed by the Selangor government, NSIP’s unique positioning as ‘The First’ Managed Industrial Park (MIP) aims to boost investment opportunities from local and international investors.

Coupled with the support of the Hainan government, the project is currently on track to attract investors from China to invest in NCT’s properties and developments under the NSIP project.

Located at the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS), NSIP is led as a Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) inspired development that integrates smart innovations and sustainable solutions to cater to the current and future needs of entrepreneurs.

The project is targeted to create 50,000 job opportunities upon completion.

NCT is also working closely with the state government’s investment arm, Invest Selangor, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to increase exposure of NSIP by tapping into their pool of investors and network.

The project, which has started with site clearing last December 2022, has seen overwhelming response, where phase 1A was fully-booked.

“Sustainability is at the core of NSIP and the project embodies environmental, social and governance values, in line with the GreenRE rating criteria and is on track to being a solar-equipped, Managed Industrial Park (MIP),” said NCT Group general manager and NSIP project leader Eddy Lim Swee Shien.

Lim added: “The project is designed to also address common challenges faced by industrial parks, including floods and traffic congestion. There will be flood prevention features and smart traffic systems within and around the facility to better manage traffic flows.”
