2026 BYD ATTO 3 secures over 1,000 bookings within 10 days of its Malaysian launch

BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD Cars in Malaysia, has officially secured over 1,000 bookings for the newly launched 2026 BYD ATTO 3 within just 10 days of its Malaysian debut.

The milestone sees an identical timeframe to its historical local debut of the model in December 2022 in Malaysia, cementing its position as Malaysia’s leading EV model and strengthening BYD’s standing as a trusted preferred  brand in the country.

The refreshed 2026 ATTO 3 features an upgraded 510 km range, a new rear-wheel-drive Premium variant, and upgraded fast-charging capabilities

The refreshed 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Premium variant with Rear-Wheel Drive features an upgraded 510 km (WLTP) range, maximum power output of 313 PS (230 kW), accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, and an upgraded 220 kW DC fast-charging capability.

The early booking momentum underscores continued interest in electric vehicles (EVs) among Malaysians and reflects the growing appeal of models that deliver practicality, innovation and value in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape.

The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 has cemented its legacy as Malaysia’s all-time best-selling EV, with over 12,000 units delivered to date.

BYD Malaysia managing director Jacob Ma said the positive response for the updated model reflected the evolving expectations of Malaysian motorists.

“Today’s drivers are increasingly seeking vehicles that seamlessly combine technology, convenience and everyday usability, and the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 delivers on this.

“This strong start reaffirms the BYD ATTO 3’s position as a favourite in Malaysia’s EV landscape,” he said.
