Nestle Harvest Gourmet has unveiled new puff pastries, continues to drive adoption of plant-based foods

New Nestle Harvest Gourmet Puff Pastries tap into growing demand for tasty and convenient snacking solutions.

A recent 2023 survey by GlobalData revealed that 59% of Malaysians are keen to try plant-based foods for its health benefits, while nearly half are motivated by the environmental benefits of these sustainable food options.

Plant-based foods are generally known to have a much lower carbon footprint and are less intensive in water resources as compared to meat products.

To tap into growing demand in plant-protein foods among Malaysians, Nestle Malaysia has expanded it Harvest Gourmet product range with the launch of puff pastries.

The puffs are a delectable fusion of plant-protein goodness with gourmet pastry, providing those looking to indulge in a savoury snack without compromising on flavour.

The crispy flaky delights are available in three Asian flavours – Creamy Curry, Korean Gochujang and Oriental BBQ.

The gourmet puff pastries are crispy and flaky, and can be air-fried directly from frozen.

For those craving puff pastries but find them too much of a hassle to make, or simply cannot find the time to prepare them from scratch, these Nestle’s Harvest Gourmet Puff Pastries are the convenient choices for teatime or snack as they are easy to prepare.

A simple 1-step preparation – straight from the freezer to the air fryer with no defrosting required. Simply air fry the puffs at 180°C for 15 minutes and ready to be enjoyed.

A product of Malaysia and halal-certified, the puff pastries may provide a good source of protein made with soya and wheat-based mince, along with selected blend of flavourful ingredients and spices, without added preservatives.

Juan Aranols, the chief executive officer of Nestle Malaysia Berhad said the company will continue to focus on new product innovations in supporting the transition to more sustainable diets.
