BloomThis founder and managing director Penny Choo said they were excited to open the third store in SJMC as they shared the same values and importance with SMJC towards their businesses’ commitment to customers and their well-being.

“Harnessing the therapeutic benefits of flowers, this partnership aims to create a healing environment within SJMC, contributing to improved patient experiences and overall well-being.

“We also hope that the presence of our retail space will ease those who wish to give their loved ones fresh blooms and thoughtful gifts while undergoing care at SJMC.

“Together, we hope to cultivate happiness within the healthcare environment, setting new standards for holistic care,” she said.

Choo added, “As a brand that strives to create moments of happiness for our customers and known for our bespoke floral and gift arrangements, we look forward to making a positive impact on the healthcare industry through this collaboration, bringing moments of joy and well-being to the forefront of the patient and healthcare professional experience.”

Various studies have shown that there is an array of benefits of flowers, even when one only sees, touch, or smell them. For instance, just by being around flowers may help reduce stress, speed healing, enhances concentration and improves mood.

BloomThis hoped that the partnership with SJMC will create and cultivate happiness in healthcare. Through the operation of the retail store, both brands aim to prioritise the wellbeing of both patients and healthcare professionals by integrating the calming properties of flowers within the hospital setting.

“Therefore, beyond their visual beauty, flowers are known to bring remarkable healing and therapeutic benefits to enhance the recovery process and promote overall well-being of a patient.”

BloomThis and SJMC will introduce floral workshops and curated events in the coming weeks. These initiatives are designed to promote wellness and relaxation for healthcare workers and patients alike, fostering a positive and rejuvenating atmosphere within the healthcare facility.
