Canon Marketing Malaysia on May 15, 2026 announced a new content creation kit comprising the EOS R6 V, a video-first full-frame camera, and the accompanying RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ, a first full-frame professional-grade L-series lens with a built-in power zoom.
Built specifically for content creators and hybrid shooters, this lightweight, video-centric hybrid camera is packed with features designed to deliver ultimate flexibility, such as 7K Open Gate RAW recording, built-in cooling, a vertical tripod mount and powerful, in-body image stabilization.
The kit is expected to be available in Malaysia by June 19, 2026.
The EOS R6 V camera possesses the powerful stills and video performance of the EOS R6 Mark III in a body that has been optimised for video content creation.
It features a 32.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor capable of uncropped 7K 60p RAW and 7K Open Gate recording. Oversampled 4K 60p and uncropped 4K 120p slow-motion are also available.
Unlike standard hybrid cameras, it includes a built-in cooling fan to eliminate overheating for extended shoots and live streaming.
It has a built-in vertical tripod socket on the grip and supports a fully vertical UI orientation for vertical social media shoots.
The camera’s IBIS (In-Body Image Stabilization)-equipped body delivers up to 7.5 stops of shake correction at the centre and 7.0 stops at the image edges when shooting stills. It achieves an effect of up to 8.0 stops at the edges when paired with the RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ lens.
The EOS R6 V’s electronic shutter supports up to 40 fps continuous shooting and pre-shooting, and 4-channel audio recording with identical autofocus features and capabilities as the EOS R6 Mark III.
The model supports UVC 4K 60p streaming over USB-C and a full-size HDMI Type-A output, and easy transfers via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It allows custom LUT loading and support for Canon Log 2/3.
The RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ is a compact and lightweight power zoom lens (approx. 98.4mm length, 420g) designed for both filmmakers and photographers. It delivers exceptional L-series optical performance that rivals or exceeds the popular RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM.
Its built-in power zoom offers smooth, cinematic motorized movements without the micro-jitters of manual twisting.
The 20–50mm zoom range covers everything from wide environmental shots to intimate framing, while the built-in Power Zoom keeps transitions smooth and cinematic. With a constant f/4 aperture throughout the entire zoom, you get consistent, reliable exposure when zooming, without having to manually adjust the ISO or shutter speed.
