Nestle Malaysia joins hands with MPK on recycling in Bandar Klang

Nestle Malaysia, in collaboration with Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK), has kicked off the Door-to-Door Collection and Recycling Programme to Bandar Klang, Selangor.

The collaboration with MPK marks Nestle’s first phase for the programme in Klang, covering a total of 12,143 households across Bandar Bukit Tinggi 1, Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2, Bandar Botanic, Ambang Botanic 1 and Ambang Botanic 2.

The programme, which is among Nestle Malaysia’s voluntary Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) initiatives, now reaches a total of 85,000 households in the Klang Valley, including in Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and the Greater Kuala Lumpur area, with over 2,500 tonnes of recyclable materials collected since its inception in 2020.

Nestle Malaysia targets to reach 100,000 households in total by end 2022.
