In conjunction with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia’s (Perhilitan) recent World Elephant Day Celebration, Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd supported its elephant conservation efforts with a contribution of RM65,000, comprising a cash donation and contributions in-kind.

World Elephant Day is celebrated on August 12 every year to raise awareness about the need of preserving and protecting elephants.

Nestle brought cheer to about 4,000 visitors who joined the festivities at the National Elephant Conservation Centre (PKGK) in Kuala Gandah, Pahang, by giving out free samples of Nestle products such as Milo, Nescafe, Nestle Breakfast Cereal, Nestle Ice Cream and Nestle Omega Plus Dark Choc.

The food manufacturer also provided free cholesterol tests to visitors.

Perhilitan’s World Elephant Day celebration has been held annually since 2015 to promote the conservation and protection of elephants at the 20-hectare Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre, an elephant sanctuary located in Temerloh in Pahang.
