Canon Marketing Malaysia president and CEO Masato Yoshiie attended the signing ceremony of the partnership agreement between Canon and EOS Master held at Astana, Bamboo Hills, Kuala Lumpur on Jan 30, 2024.

Canon Marketing Malaysia president and CEO Masato Yoshiie addresses the audience at the signing ceremony, outlining Canon’s continuance commitment to innovation and supporting local talents.

Yoshiie, in his welcome speech, said he is proud to have EOS Masters representing Canon to elevate the brand and inspire a new wave of passion for photographers and videographers in Malaysia.

“Their talent and passion for cinematography and image-making are aligned with our commitment to innovation.

“Canon’s initiatives are guided by the Kyosei philosophy, which conveys our dedication to seeing all people living and working together for the common good and the betterment of humanity.

“We are passionate about embarking on this shared mission with the EOS Masters to unlock the possibilities of creative expression and empower individuals nationwide to capture and share the moments that matter most,” he said.

The EOS Master initiative, launched last year, is a continuous effort by the company to create a platform for interactive engagement between aspiring creative individuals, including beginners, students and professionals, with seasoned experts in Malaysia.

This year’s lineup comprises 17 distinguished photographers and videographers with illustrious careers that have left a lasting impact on the creative industry. They are chosen for their diverse experiences, influence in the local community and shared passion for creativity.

These Masters’ expertise covers a wide spectrum of fields such as underwater, travel, landscape, photojournalism, sports, and nature photography.

Under the EOS Master initiative, these 17 camera advocates will host a variety of activities, workshops, seminars and exhibitions throughout the year.

Through these events, they will share techniques, challenges, and personal anecdotes, offering an opportunity for participants to upskill or reskill, and emerge not only with refined skills but also a renewed passion for their craft.
