Bio-home unveils Eco Refill Stations in partnership with Jaya Grocer

Bio-home, a household cleaning product from Lam Soon, has unveiled its first Eco Refill Stations that offer customers a hassle-free solution for refilling their cleaning products while reducing plastic waste.

The initiative marked a significant stride in the brand’s commitment to combat plastic waste by reducing plastic use by 95%.

These innovative Eco Refill Stations are located at selected Jaya Grocer outlets in The Starling Mall, Plaza Jelutong and 163 Retail Park Mont Kiara.

Chua Su Fee, the assistant general manager of household and personal care brand marketing division at Lam Soon Edible Oil Sdn Bhd stated during the launch event at Jaya Grocer@The Starling Mall, Petaling Jaya: “The Eco Refill Stations empower consumers to embrace eco-friendly choices, fostering a collective effort towards reducing plastic waste, which aligns with Earth Day 2024 theme of “Planet Vs Plastic.

“We chose ‘The Unwasted Plastic’ theme to signify a conscientious approach to plastic usage where every piece of plastic is utilised efficiently, recycled effectively or avoided altogether.

“It embodies the idea of minimising waste and maximising the lifespan and utility of plastic materials, thereby reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainability.“

The partnership is paving the way for a more sustainable future, minimising single-use plastic consumption and instilling a reuse mindset by  promoting the use of recycled or reusable plastic bottles through the Eco Refill Stations.

“The innovative Eco Refill Stations seamlessly align with our dedication to sustainability and our aim to reduce the usage of single-use plastics,” said Jaya Grocer deputy chief executive officer Daniel Teng.

The bio-home ECO Refill Stations offers consumers a hassle-free solution for refilling their cleaning products while reducing plastic waste.

Every refill at the Eco Refill Station is a convenience for customers when they return with their empty bottles.  Simply select the desired product from the range, including dishwashing liquid, floor cleaner and laundry detergent. Place the empty bottle under the nozzle, and press start. Once refilled, affix the provided barcode and proceed to pay.

This initiative is not only eco-friendly but also cost-effective, providing consumers 20% more savings, making sustainable living accessible to all.
