Malaysian Moto3 rookie Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli will make his home Grand Prix debut at the race. He is enjoying a standout rookie campaign in the Moto3 World Championship, having claimed multiple podium finishes and a race victory.
Sepang International Circuit (SIC) chief executive officer Azhan Shafriman Hanif has officially announced a target of 200,000 spectators over the three-day race weekend and offering free Friday admission incentives.
“With 190,977 spectators in 2025, MotoGP Malaysia continues to attract strong support from local and international fans. This year, 80% of tickets have already been sold, with the Premier Seat and Hakim Danish Tribune categories sold out.
“Hakim Danish’s historic Moto3 victory and maiden World Championship podium have added another exciting dimension to this year’s race, giving Malaysian fans even more reason to come to Sepang and cheer for one of their own.
“We want the circuit to be filled with that unmistakable home-race atmosphere, bringing fans together to celebrate our riders and experience an unforgettable weekend of world-class racing. he said during a press conference announcing the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia 2026 at Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Kuala Lumpur on Oct 11, 2026.

Fans can get close to the action via the Public Pit Lane Walk, Autograph Sessions, Night Track Tour, Moto2 and Moto3 Hero Walk, MotoGP Hero Walk and the Grid Walk.
The MotoGP Fan Zone will feature performances by school and university students, alongside music, entertainment and interactive experiences throughout the three-day weekend.

As Malaysia’s longest-running international sporting event, MotoGP Malaysia continues to strengthen the country’s position as a premier motorsports and sports tourism destination, generating economic opportunities and inspiring the next generation of Malaysian talent.
Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari said MotoGP Malaysia serves as a vital pillar for national pride that drives tourism, creates economic opportunities and inspires young Malaysians.
“Through initiatives such as Tiket Rahmah and the Malaysian Motorsport Development Ecosystem (MDEV), the Government remains committed to making motorsports more accessible and nurturing the next generation of Malaysian champions,” he said.
Tiket Rahmah remains available at RM49.90 for the K2 Hillstand. Offered in alignment with the Malaysia Madani agenda, the initiative opens affordable race access to families, youth, and local motorsport enthusiasts.
Sustainability is also a key priority for MotoGP Malaysia 2026. SIC has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp) to boost sustainability and waste management during events.
Initiatives include waste separation at source, Trash to Gift, upcycled tyre art, Composting on Wheels and the Hero Kebersihanvolunteer programme, supported by the Respect Our Track campaign.
The collaboration will also facilitate the collection of environmental, social and governance (ESG) impact data to measure progress and guide future improvements.
