Pos Malaysia has partnered with Malaysian design brand APOM (A Piece of Malaysia) to launch “A Tapestry of Malaysia”, a special Malaysia Day stamp collection featuring 14 distinct designs inspired by Malaysia’s 13 states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
Drawn from APOM’s #empatbelas initiative, the collection celebrates local cultural icons, landmarks, traditions and everyday moments. Other merchandise like T-shirts and tote bags featuring the designs are also available.
Each design captures a theme unique to its state or territory, ensuring that the distinct heritage and local identity of each state or territory are preserved and celebrated.

These designs reflect the richness of Malaysia’s many identities in a way that is distinctive, accessible and rooted in place, such as Johor’s heritage architecture, Kedah’s paddy fields, Kelantan’s Wayang Kulit, Melaka’s layered history, Negeri Sembilan’s Tarian Lilin and Pahang’s natural landscapes.
Also showcased are Penang’s everyday harmony, Perak’s nostalgic icons, Perlis’ Angin Timur, Sabah’s biodiversity, Sarawak’s cultural motifs, Selangor’s mosque architect ure, Terengganu’s Wau Dodo Helang and Kuala Lumpur’s urban landmarks.

Pos Malaysia Berhad group chief executive officer Charles Brewer said the company holds a legacy of over 200 years of service, connecting communities, small businesses, and major urban and rural areas across the country.
“Stamps are a powerful part of that story. They may be small, but they carry the identity, memories and pride of a nation.
“A Tapestry of Malaysia is a timely celebration of Malaysia Day, bringing APOM’s #empatbelas designs to life as stamps that reflect the unique character of Malaysia’s states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur in a way that is fresh, meaningful and collectible.
“Together with APOM, we are proud to connect our postal heritage with local creativity, while continuing to keep Malaysia moving by delivering connections that improve lives,” he said.

APOM founder Chantelle Teoh said the #empatbelas project was created to give local designers a platform to express their unique state identity and local pride.
“Seeing the initiative now become part of Pos Malaysia’s annual Malaysia Day stamp issue is a milestone we’re extremely proud of. It’s incredibly meaningful to see these 14 designs given a place in an enduring part of our national story, and we’re proud to see the designers’ work celebrated in this way,” she said.
The collection is priced at RM35.20 and includes a sheetlet featuring all 14 special stamp designs, comprising 90 sen stamps, a First Day Cover with 14 stamps and special cancellation, an exclusive campaign postcard, an informational flyer and a folder.
It will be available for pre-order via the Pos Malaysia online store from Sept 1, 2026, and at APOM and Pejabat Pos Besar Lama on Sept 16, 2026.
From Sept 17, 2026 onwards, the collection will be available at 90 Philatelic Bureaus nationwide, including 13 General Post Offices, selected post offices and the Pos Malaysia online store.

In conjunction with the launch, APOM will release a special merchandise collection, including T-shirt (RM68), notebook (RM15 each or RM40 for a set of 3), postcard (RM8) and tote bag (RM40).
The merchandise collection, priced from RM8 to RM68, is available at A Piece of Malaysia, Pejabat Pos Besar Lama and APOM outlets, including Bangsar Village 1, Central Market, The Campus and Bank Negara Museum and Art Gallery from Aug 24, 2026.
