VIKids Carnival returns with retro-futuristic fun and creative workshops this school break

The highly anticipated VIKids Carnival at Alamanda Shopping Centre, Putrajaya is returning from May 20 to June 7, 2026, transforming the Centre Court into an 80s retro-futuristic neon wonderland.

Coinciding with the mid-term school holidays, the 19-day event features classic funfair games, arcade zones, creative arts and crafts, and weekend performances, promising an immersive carnival experience for VIKids members and their families.

Visitors will step onto a classic black-and-white checkered floor, surrounded by glowing neon-lighted props of nostalgic icons like cassette tapes, boomboxes and palm trees.

Families can look forward to three daily spectacles every Saturday and Sunday, featuring high-energy neon dance numbers, mesmerising magic shows and balloonist clown acts during the campaign period.

Under the Shoppers Rewards Programme, VIKids members who spend RM300 and above in up to two receipts at specialty stores can redeem two complimentary Carnival Passes. Non-members can also enjoy these exclusive perks by spending RM500 and above in up to two receipts.

Unlocking a wholesome holiday experience, each carnival pass unlocks allow children to enjoy complimentary access to selected games and activities.

Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd executive director and chief executive officer Francis Tan said the VIKids Carnival is dedicated to providing family-centric experiences and educational activities for the community during school holidays.

“Whether through the dazzling, nostalgic energy of Alamanda’s neon carnival or the hands-on creative workshops at Mesra Mall, our focus remains on providing exceptional, family-centric experiences that build lasting holiday memories,” he said.

Concurrently, Mesra Mall, Kemaman is hosting its own edition of VIKids Carnival from May 22 to 26, 2026 featuring daily hands-on DIY workshops for children.

Centred on a delightful stationery theme, the event offers hands-on school holiday activities for children under 12, featuring an interactive photo space with a giant stationery-themed selfie frame and daily DIY craft workshops.

Kids can craft their own school essentials, including school timetables, stationery holders, pencil toppers and custom bookmarks daily from 2 pm to 6 pm.

VIKids members who spend a minimum of RM50 in a single receipt at any specialty store are entitled to two complimentary workshop entry tickets.

Meanwhile, new VIKids members can get two workshop tickets alongside a special stationery set goodie bag with a minimum spend of RM100 in a single receipt.
