PRISM+ appoints Malaysian-born Jonathan Wong as new CEO

PRISM+, a Singaporean-founded consumer electronics brand, has appointed Malaysian-born Jonathan Wong, former head of Uber Ridesharing, as its new chief executive officer, effective March 2026. 

The leadership appointment, which will see founder Jonathan Tan transition to executive chairman, is part of the brand’s strategic plan to strengthen its leadership structure and accelerate growth.

The company said Wong brings extensive leadership experience from Uber, CloudKitchens, and Habyt, as well as earlier roles in investment banking and management consulting across APAC.

“His experience in scaling high-growth technology and consumer businesses across diverse markets will be pivotal to the company’s success as PRISM+ strengthens its domestic and international presence,” said the statement.

“As CEO, Jonathan Wong will lead PRISM+’s strategic expansion, expanding its presence beyond Singapore and elevating its product ecosystem from smart TVs and monitors to a full suite of smart home appliances with a clear focus on the PRISM+’s mission of providing premium technology and exceptional experience to all,” it said.

Newly appointed CEO Wong expressed gratitude and excitement to lead the company into its next chapter.

Meanwhile, as executive chairman, Jonathan Tan said he will focus on shaping the long-term destination of the company. He will channel his energies into growth, R&D and new product development, driving the pipeline of innovations that will define PRISM+’s next chapter – ensuring strategic vision and brand continuity across markets.

Since its entry into the Malaysian market, PRISM+ has maintained double-digit year-on-year growth and expanded its business beyond e-commerce platform.

Today, the brand operates 10 retail outlets across major malls nationwide, including Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity, IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Queensbay Mall, Setia City Mall and AEON Mall Tebrau City.

PRISM+ will strengthen its presence with the opening of a new outlet at Imago Shopping Mall in East Malaysia, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s regional expansion.
