Venna, Afiq crowned champions of Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023

Venna Magarita, from Kuala Lumpur, is the female winner of Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023.

This spectacular medical doctor with only 31 years old at UMMC dazzled the judging panel with her grace, sophistication and natural charm to clinch the coveted title.

She was crowned by the outgoing queen, Super Model Universe Malaysia 2022 Yogamathi Ulaganathan.

The 174cm (5′ 8.5″) tall beauty also went home with the People’s Choice Champion title and Miss Congeniality subsidiary title.

The grand finale of the Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023 was held at Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel in Petaling Jaya on May 13, 2023.

Muhammad Afiq, 27, a fitness manager from Taiping, Perak was named the male winner of Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023. In addition, he was also awarded the Best Body subsidiary title.

The two will go on to represent Malaysia in the world finals of Super Model Universe 2023 that will take place for the first time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on this September.

A total of 25 contestants took part in the Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023 competition. Each of them puts on an outstanding performance as they modelled the fashion collections by fashion designers, including Farel Mikhail, Faridz Salleh, Maya Ubrani, Jayk, Qif Alvarez and Fitrah Kamarudin.

The contestants brought whatever star quality they had to impress the judges.

“To become the champion of Supermodel Universe Malaysia title is definitely an honour. It`s one of the most amazing feelings I could ever wished for,” Venna expressed her excitement.

“I am indeed very grateful to my parents and sibling because without their support it wouldn’t have been possible, and I am beyond grateful to the national director Ammetta and her team for this whole opportunity,” she added.

When asked about her winning strategy, Venna replied. “Having a good mindset. I belief having a good positive attitude, a strong mind and a passionate heart are very important not only when you’re participating in a pageant but in everything that you endeavour in. Also, being able to dedicate oneself is crucial.”

Venna has demonstrated that one can be a doctor as a career and at the same time achieved the dream of being a supermodel.

“When you have passion for something, work doesn`t feel like work. Instead, you enjoy it. Thus, it becomes easier to juggle. I am a person that doesn`t like to be idle. In fact, my brain is already thinking of the next step to prepare for the international awards and if I will have the chance to climb Mount Kota Kinabalu soon.”

To Venna, success is hard work and giving the best effort.She hopes to achieve new heights of success as she embarks on her next chapter with her new title.

“I see myself as a role model. I always have since I had an MD in my hands and now upon winning Super Model Universe Malaysia, I have a stronger voice to influence others in a good and positive manner.”

She hopes her success will inspire others to maintain a positive outlook in themselves.

“I would like in inspire other people that you can truly reach any goal if you are willing to put in the hard work and time. `The world is your oyster’.”

“I am a medical doctor currently pursuing her masters in aesthetic medicine, regenerative medicine and healthy aging. I would like to link my passion for modelling with medicine and perhaps dive into the world of entrepreneurship next.”

Venna has proved herself with her victory at Supermodel Universe Malaysia, and will be making adequate preparations for the international finals.

“I believe I need to look into every single aspect of the competition and practice to excel at each part. As it is the international finals, we will have many pretty ladies who have already won from their country. Thus, I will need to prepare to step up my game in every section, be it in the preliminary’s, swim wear, evening gown or Q&As.

I will try my best in the international finals, do pray for me and bless me as I stand not as one but as 33 million Malaysians in the international competition. Malaysia boleh!”

Venna loves enjoying sporty and outdoor activities, be it rock climbing, snorkeling, netball, martial arts or hiking. She also enjoys a good game of chess at home.

Muhammad Afiq proved his stunning looks and a good physique over his competitors in the male category with a hard-earned victory to win the Supermodel Universe Malaysia 2023 title.

When asked how he felt about the title, Afiq said, “I felt very grateful, impressed and totally happy. Also, I’m proud to be myself because all my hard work, struggling and most of all, love of what I am doing for these three months has paid off.”

He describes his strategy behind his winning the title.

“Focus on training, discipline, asking advice and tips from senior. Hardwork, passion and always be humble. These are what allows you to get in ahead of other contestants.”

As fitness manager, Afiq’s responsibilities include managing the team, training clients and delivering the club’s target. He is happy in his current career and with his new fame, he wants to immerse himself in the modelling and the fashion/entertainment industry.

“I would like to start involving more on the industry – pageant, modelling, fashion walk, and the like, because I love being able to meet new people, see new things and connect with new experiences.

Afiq hopes to achieve his career goal ambition in the years to come.

“My goal has always been to be a fitness influencer. I can see myself developing people’s mindset into fitness and healthy lifestyle.

“I love to explore new things. I love to challenge myself and never to give up. My motto is ‘if it doesn’t challenge you, it will not change you’.

Afiq enjoys hobbies such as riding motorbike, Muay Thai and travelling.

Super Model Universe Malaysia national director Ammetta Malhotra congratulated the winners and participants for giving a great show.

“I was amazed to see the improvements and developments of all the finalists, most of whom were first timers and discovered by our platform,” she said.
