Nationwide roadshow of Canon’s 35th anniversary double celebration

Canon celebrating its 35th EOS system with camera enthusiasts at Hard Rock Hotel Penang.

Canon celebrated its 35th EOS system and its presence in Malaysia with a roadshow across the country.

Global leader in photography and digital imaging solutions Canon Marketing Malaysia embarked on a super camera roadshow called the EOS R Nationwide Tour 2022 in Malaysia throughout the months of June and July.

The roadshow made stop in Kuala Lumpur and travelled to Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.

During the nationwide tour, shutterbugs were thrilled with Canon’s full range of R-series cameras and RF lenses which were showcased. They got the opportunity to try out the latest RF lenses and EOS R systems such as RF 1200mm, RF 800mm, R3, R5 at the event.

Participants also enjoyed the invaluable experience of listening to notable professional photographers and a videographer such as Teoh Peng Kee, Canon Malaysia EOS Ambassador Johnson Wee and Baron Abas.

There was also an exhibition by guest speakers who shared their experiences on birding, wedding, lifestyle and street photography using the EOS R3, EOS R5, EOS R6 & EOS R7 cameras.

Canon Marketing image communications business division director Hunter Zhang said the aim of the EOS R Nationwide Tour 2022 was to re-conceptualise photography for Canon end-users and camera enthusiasts.

“With the newly introduced Canon EOS R7 and EOS R10 this year, both amateur and professional photographers are equipped with features which amplify their photographic talents while pushing the boundaries of the EOS R series line-up.

“The latest EOS R line-up guarantees the highest level of quality when it comes to capturing moments and offers significant advances in auto-focusing performance.

“Listening to our customers’ feedback is Canon’s driver in improving the EOS R series to create new possibilities” he said.

Zhang said the roadshows were intended to provide a hands-on-experience for amateurs and professionals alike of the EOS R series camera range (R3, R5, R5 C, R6, R7, R10, R, RP), and allowed participants to try out the cameras and lenses in person.

“Canon features its comprehensive range of input to output products, where participants from all walks of life can cherish their memorable moments by having their pictures taken as a memento. Delivering top-notch gear and solutions for photographers is Canon’s commitment in supporting its customers’ creative expression,” he added.

The company hosted its penultimate roadshow at the Le Meridien in Kota Kinabalu on July 23 and concluded its seventh and final event in Kuching on July 30, 2022.
