Md Nasir in his speech called upon MFMPA ambassadors representing the respective industries to illustrate Malaysia’s diverse cultures, traditions and talents on a global scale.
“Moving forward in 2023, Finas is working hard to export our local talents and content overseas to showcase our stunning cultures, traditions and the overall beauty of Malaysia.
“I believe that Malaysia is not far from reaching its full potential, and we are delighted to have endeavors such as MFMPA that could nurture and grow the industry through various means.
“Ambassadors of MFMPA play the crucial role of representing Malaysia on an international scale, and I am very excited to see the positive outcome that we can bring as one nation, working together,” he said.
MFMPA founder and president Dr Jason Hee said in his welcome address that the 2022 MPMPA award offers recognition as the year’s best industry players.
“MFMPA 2022 aims to promote the best of what Malaysia has to offer by recognizing significant contributors to fashion, modeling and pageantry. In doing so, we hope to generate a tremendous demand for Malaysian talents, products and services across the globe by leveraging the influence of local ambassadors that were recognized at the main event,” he said
Hee added: “We aim to continue pushing boundaries to promote Malaysia as a venue of tourism with the activities we have all year round. As we collaborate with Vietnam and the Philippines this year, I cannot wait to start working with other neighboring countries in the following year to develop the local fashion industry and the supporting segments.”
Having announced its expansion to the Asean region for its next edition, the MFMPA 2022 will serve as a benchmark for MMK to spearhead the industry by popularizing local industry players in the neighboring countries. This ultimately enables other countries to utilize Malaysia’s best offerings, thus, creating more opportunities for local players across numerous fields.
