Herbalife Nutrition Virtual Run 2022 attracts close to 5,000 Malaysian participants

Global nutrition company Herbalife Nutrition recently announced the results of its 2022 Virtual Run held from Nov 1 to 30, 2022.

The annual event, aimed at encouraging people in Asia Pacific to get moving with a healthy active lifestyle, garnered more than 5,000 participants in Malaysia who collectively ran over 200,000 kilometers.

In total, there were over 15,000 participants in the Asia Pacific region, covering a total distance of over 1,053,000 kilometers – equivalent to running around the world 26 times.

Held for three consecutive years in a row, Herbalife Nutrition Virtual Run has accumulated 54,000 participants to date who have clocked a distance of over 3,220,000 kilometers, which is enough to circle the earth 80 times.

Herbalife Nutrition Malaysia and Singapore senior director and general manager Steven Chin said the company’s support of the Virtual Run programme demonstrated its commitment to support Malaysians in their journey to better health.

“We are pleased to once again see that the Herbalife Nutrition Virtual Run 2022 receiving a positive response.

“The participants enjoyed the ability to share their run progress with their friends and family and especially to track their position in the leaderboard through our exclusively developed application.

“The fun approach truly lifted anticipation and helped nudge participants run a little longer and harder, this is reflective of our Herbalife Nutrition spirit to help each other get healthier as a community,” he said.

The Herbalife Nutrition Virtual Run is the highlight event of the Get Moving with Good Nutrition campaign, an annual initiative by Herbalife Nutritionto help Asia Pacific consumers adopt healthy active living habits and foster communities that support their healthy living journeys.

Chin said the Asia Pacific Personal Habits Survey revealed that up to 87% of Malaysians want to kick unhealthy lifestyle habits they developed during the pandemic.

“Building on this momentum, we will continue to introduce initiatives that support healthy, active lifestyles, as well as through our science-backed products. To this end, we look forward to kicking off our Herbalife Nutrition Month which is coming up in March 2023,” he added.

The virtual run also contributes to raising funds for Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF). This year’s virtual run raised more than USD74,000, boosting the total for three years to almost USD240,000 – helping provide good nutrition to needy children in Asia Pacific through HNF’s Casa Herbalife Nutrition programme.
