The much-awaited dates of the fourth edition of i-SiNG World Championship 2023 Final to be held for the first time in Malaysia are finally out.
MyISing Malaysia managing director Michael Samy confirmed that Malaysia will host the world finals on November 22 to 26, 2023 at Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel in Petaling Jaya.
“About 25 countries are expected to attend the i-SiNG World Finals with more than 200 delegates participating and supporting the event.
“This will be an exciting final as many countries are eager and looking forward to travelling and performing.
“Aside from competing, the contestants will get to experience Malaysian hospitality with Malaysian cuisine and free sight-seeing within the Klang Valley. It will also be a great boost to Malaysian tourism,” he said at a press conference held at Meals Plus, Menara Shell in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 18.
MyISing Malaysia is the exclusive organizer for i-SiNG in Malaysia.
Also present at the event were i-SiNG World Finals host Angel Vaishilee and MyISing Malaysia marketing and communications director Kamal Haji Kassim.
i-SiNG is an international singing competition organised annually that has established itself as a platform for all aspiring singers to showcase their talent.
The competition is divided into three categories: junior solo singers (aged 6 to 16), senior solo singers (aged 17 and above) and group singers (any combination of two to five singers regardless of age).
Malaysia had won the second edition, defeating 40 participating countries in the 2018 final in Paris, France.
In March 2020, a press conference was held to announce i-SiNG World Finals to be held in Kuala Lumpur. However, soon after that, Malaysia came under lockdown with Covid-19 pandemic. The event was then postponed until the world is ready to gather again.
Hence, this finale is happening after three years of wait.
With over 10 years of event industry in Asia, i-SiNG World was formed by a team of music and event organizing enthusiasts in 2017.
The i-SiNG World Championship is organized annually. Each year, the final is held in a different city globally.
“We not only promote different culture of the hosting city, but also bring in singers with different race and different culture into the city as well as their vocal talent and prowess, influencing participants and audience of their understanding of music in different part of the world.
“This world stage also provides singers and the public a unique, high quality, and unforgettable experience,” said Angel Vaishilee.
The inaugural i-SiNG World championship started in Yangon, Myanmar in 2017 with about 24 participating countries in that world finals. The following year, in 2018, the world finals moved to Paris, France with 40 participating countries. The 3rd year was held in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2019, with 47 countries. Malaysia will be the 4th venue for i-SiNG World Finals.
