GamBit Group launches Hybrid Asset Trust, ushering in a new era of inclusive wealth management

From L-R: Vivek Sasheendran, director of Digital Trustee Berhad; Dato’ Seri (Dr) Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil, director of Gambit Custody; Datuk Clifford Hii, group CEO of Gambit Group; and Chang Chew Soon, director of Gambit Custody at the launch of the Hybrid Asset Trust (HAT) during the M50+ Expo on April 25, 2025.

GamBit Group has launched its inaugural Hybrid Asset Trust (HAT) on April 25, 2025 during the Malaysia 50+ Expo 2025 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

The launch marks a significant milestone in the evolution of estate planning and wealth management in Malaysia.

HAT is Malaysia’s pioneering estate planning solution that seamlessly integrates traditional assets with digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and tokenised holdings.

This innovative platform empowers Malaysians to manage and secure their entire portfolio with unprecedented convenience and peace of mind, reflecting the nation’s rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Datuk Clifford Hii, the group CEO of GamBit Group stated during the launch event: “At GamBit, we believe that everyone deserves access to comprehensive, future-ready wealth management tools.

“With HAT, we are bridging the gap between conventional and digital assets, making estate planning relevant and accessible for today’s investors and future generations.”

HAT is made possible through the GamBit Consortium, comprising Digital Trustees Berhad and Digital Asset Custody Services licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia.

With a low entry point of RM10,000, HAT makes estate planning attainable for a broader demographic, including younger, tech-savvy Malaysians.

This democratisation is timely as Malaysia’s digital asset market is projected to reach US$296.7 million in revenue by 2025, with surveys indicating that 64% of retail investors already hold digital assets, and 69% plan to increase their exposure in the coming years.

Unlike many existing wealth management solutions in Malaysia that primarily focus on traditional assets management, HAT delivers a hybrid by integrating both conventional and digital assets within a single, regulated trust platform. This hybrid approach simplifies estate planning and addresses rising concerns around digital asset security and inheritance.

GamBit Group is committed to continually enhancing HAT with new features, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding its reach to ensure that all Malaysians can benefit from modern, secure and inclusive wealth management solutions.
