foodpanda Malaysia has announced an array of benefits providing greater savings, benefits and convenience for all its delivery parners for the first quarter of 2022.

Chief amongst an array of benefits is the EPF Self-Employment Social Security Scheme (SESSS).

Through the SPS Contribution Matching, both the government and foodpanda Malaysia would subsidize up to 90% of the annual individual contribution, lowering the cost to only RM23.30. This initiative helps protect delivery partners from occupational hazards, diseases and accidents during their deliveries.

Under this scheme, delivery partners would also be entitled to funeral expenses, should any unforeseen circumstances befall upon them, as well as education and facilities for physical or vocational rehabilitation.

foodpanda Malaysia logistics head Shubham Saran said delivery partners play a key role in their business success as they value them as their most important resource.

“Our team is always working towards introducing new and improved benefits for our delivery partners every quarter. Through all that we do, we hope to remind them that their safety, health and well-being is a top priority for us,” he said.

Shubham added that this gesture of care and appreciation is one of more to come from foodpanda for the delivery partners moving forward.

foodpanda Malaysia said that the team is always looking for new ways and opportunities to reward their delivery partners.

foodpanda Malaysia has partnered with takaful provider FWD Takaful to provide the FWD Kasih plan. Through this plan, delivery partners would be assisted with funeral expenses and Hajj for Muslims, or donations to charity for non-Muslims.

Delivery partners can use code PANDA30 to enjoy a 30% discount on FWD Kasih products, exclusively for Panda rider. Additionally, delivery partners that sign up and become a referral for FWD Kasih and FWD Big 3 product, will stand a chance to win prizes worth up to RM10,000.

Through Panda Academy, foodpanda Malaysia also provides up-skilling and reskilling programs for delivery partners to become more knowledgeable and develop new skills.

For those who are keen on becoming a delivery partner but have no vehicle to complete deliveries, foodpanda has partnered with Beam so they can now get their own scooter at RM500 per month or with an instalment package of 3 months.

foodpanda delivery partners can also enjoy up to 36% discount for Liqui Moly lubricants and free labour charge at selected workshops; additional 16% off on selected Top Glove products and special deals on purchase of selected lubricants at Motul outlets.
