Malaysia will host the inaugural Heritage Motor Exchange Asia (HME Asia) 2026, billed as Asia’s first dedicated collector car marketplace, taking place from October 23 to 25, 2026 at Merdeka Hall, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL).
Presented by the Affin Group under the theme “When Passion Meets Acquisition”, also positioned as the “High-Octane October Sale”, the three-day event is designed to bring transparency, clear valuations and structure to the classic and collector car market across the region.
The inaugural exchange brings together a regional network of collectors, automotive enthusiasts, specialized dealers and premier brands under one roof.

The event features up to 50 classic and collector cars spanning six categories: Vintage, Classic, Modern Classic, Contemporary Exotic, Luxury and Performance.
Moving away from traditional car show format, HME Asia is introducing a 100-Point Concours Judging System to bring transparent physical evaluation and component authenticity verification to buyers and collectors.
A panel of experienced, independent judges will conduct the evaluations in collaboration with industry partners from Europe, with final evaluation scores mapped against historical market transaction data to establish certified fair-trade value ranges.
The exhibition includes a Concours d’Elegance competition where vehicles compete for official valuation certificates; a Concours de Vente – this is a curated sale of independently judged vehicles; and a Private Consignment Paddock for serious collectors looking to trade.

Also on exhibit are Back From the Future featuring the Mornine of AiMOGA humanoid robot, serving as one of the on-site vehicle presenters; and Historic Motorsport – Icons are Forever displaying iconic race and rally cars dating as far back as the 1970s.
Every participating vehicle goes through a rigorous inspection and grading process. Afterward, the owner receives an official Valuation Certificate, verifying the vehicle’s condition and estimated worth.

Affin Group said its role as a presenting partner for HME Asia 2026 reflects its focus on building meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners.
Through Affin Diventium Private Banking, an award-winning segment, the Group offers a bespoke wealth management experience, bringing together personalised financial solutions, investment expertise and capabilities, complemented by exclusive lifestyle privileges tailored to clients’ individual interests and aspirations.
Affin Group president and group chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah shared his excitement regarding their partnership with the HME Asia. He highlighted that the event is an exciting addition to Malaysia’s collector-car scene and expressed the group’s pleasure in being a part of its inaugural edition.
“For many collectors, a classic car represents years of passion, an appreciation for craftsmanship and a legacy to pass on to future generations.
“At Affin, we understand that our clients’ interests extend beyond their financial portfolios. By drawing on expertise across the Group, we aim to support their financial ambitions while creating opportunities to pursue the things that matter most to them,” he said.

The event features participation from industry figures, restoration specialists, parts suppliers, insurance partners, and official transport/inspection bodies like Puspakom and JPJ Malaysia, alongside Cycle & Carriage as the Anchor Heritage Partner.
The HME Asia 2026 is organized by the Collectors’ Consortium and curated by Andrew Suresh, an expert with 30 years of experience in the heritage-car sector.
He said that Southeast Asia’s collector-car market has faced challenges around pricing transparency and access to reliable vehicle data. This opacity often means buyers risk overpaying while meticulous sellers lack a credible standard to justify their pricing.
“By combining a rigorous 100-point vehicle assessment with historical market transaction data, we aim to establish a clear and credible benchmark for valuation.
“This approach will help buyers make informed purchasing decisions, provide sellers with a transparent basis for pricing, and elevate trust and appreciation for collector cars across Asia,” he said.
Tickets for the Heritage Motor Exchange Asia are priced at RM23 for adults, RM16 for students, RM13 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and RM66 for groups of three. Children below 12 years old enter for free.
